gtr_fan! How are you going?

Your 'AUS'-Spec and Bobby's 'N1' would be the most desirable around.

Remember this?? Your car selected for the Photoshoot! http://www.flickr.com/photos/21305018@N02/...in/photostream/

More Comparisons? VS2 is desirable over VS1 due to the brake upgrade too, I believe

your car is noce and straight dude. I paid a little over 32K for my VSpecII 2 years ago with 90 odd thousand KMs on it. Mine not so original thoughm Kakimoto exhaust, nismo lip and nismo side skirts. I didn't get it for a collectors car though, I got it to drive it and do what ever I want to it. I wanted Brembos so that's why I went VS2. I don't think in Australia that I'll ever get more than I paid for it back when I sell it. Just the way the cookie crumbles over here I guess.

Hey Terry,

Doing well mate, yourself?

Yeah that was nearly two years ago now and was the last time I really used the car. Currently buying stuff for turbo upgrade so should be back on road in the next few months (saving up for labour and tuning bill

Has your son still got his 33?

SOMEONE POST UP DIFFERENCES BETWEEN VS1 AND VS2

v spec 1 and 2 both have brembos so i have no idea what all of you are talking about there....

afaik the only difference factory spec between 1 and 2 was the v spec 2 received 245 tyres rather than the 225 on the vs1 and the vs2 got the v spec 2 sticker on the bootlid.... to the best of my knowledge thiese were the only differences

also this

"To celebrate the success of the GT-R in both Group N and Group A racing, Nissan introduced the Skyline GT-R V-Spec ("Victory SPECification") car on February 3, 1993. The V-Spec added Brembo brakes and a retuned ATTESA E-TS system to the Nismo and N1 packages, as well as 17" BBS wheels with 225/45/17 tires. The V-Spec has a list price of ¥ 5.260 million.

Finally on February 14, 1994 the Skyline GT-R V-Spec II was released, with the only change being wider 245/45/17 tires. In addition, both the V-Spec and V-Spec II had a curb weight of 1,480 kg (3,256 lbs), weighing 50 kg (110 lbs) more than the standard GT-R.[9] Total production of the V-Spec I and II was 1,453 and 1,303 units respectively."

Edited by WHITE R32

oh and also V-Spec 2 has R33 GTR Running gear. White is right, VS1 and VS2 both had Brembo brakes, I went the VS2 over the standard GTR for this reason, should have been more clear in my other post. And you are correct, VS2 got 245/45/17 tyres on the same size rim

afaik the vs1 also has the r33 running gear to an extent also because if the pull clutch and so forth like any late 93-94 32 gtr

engine wise whatever the vs1 had the vs2 would have because in reality production times were pretty close??

    • When you pulled it off, there is no signs of blown head gasket? Is it possible you have some other issues going on? Possible cracked blocked? Or do you think it's straight up lifting the head? Did you check what the head was torqued to before pulling it down (To see if possibly they're stretching, or starting to break threads out etc)?
    • Seems like a decent result for a modded JZX110. They are bulky in comparison to the 100 and 90 models (which I'd prefer myself) but they are getting very few and far between here in JP these days. Thanks for the detailed review and the import process into the UK. I also have a car which I'm hoping to export from Japan at some stage so it's good to know if someone from the UK was interested in it. By the way the corrosion underneath is par for the course for cars which were located in/near the mountains or along the Japan sea coastline. They get huge amounts of snow every winter and the sodium chloride is used on the roads. Many cars have some kind of rubber like treatment underneath but they tend to limit it to the wheel arches underbody and fuel tank. Suspension arms and sub-frames will have similar corrosion to your JZX110 which is a common sight. See it all the time and car dealers here generally don't even mention it unless asked.
    • If the sound goes away when you clutch in, the 1.5/2 way diffs are just shit, and you are a normal person. The diff is likely "fine" but driving at anything under 30kmh is a violent horrible experience. It would be exaggerated with solid diff bushings and subframe bushings if you have those.
