I am in the same situation as you and am tossing up what to go for as i have previosly owned a 95 GTS-t and went to a WRX and have to get back into a Nissan.

They feel a lot better to me and sound so damn good!

They only problem is that all the cars i am interested in are in Sydney or Melbourne. Oh well.

If i was to get a R33 it would have to be a series 2 and in immaculate condition.

Any way have fun

for 32K i can help you to get an R33 GTR and also insurance for s15 and R33GTR does not make much different, i think the max of difference is 1K but the again is all up to you. but if you are getting R33 GTS i would you better get the S15,,, much better and faster also handle better too.

I can't believe you guys I had to check the top of the page because I thought I have accidently clicked on a S15 site.

I can tell you now that for that price range you could get an mint condition S2 R33 and none of you can convince me that a car like that has less road presence than a S15.

Whether you like it or not the Skyline has become the cult car of this generation.

I just got back from a holiday in Lorne and even little kids knew what car I was driving.

I cant imagine them saying "look mummy, there is an S15 200sx/Silvia)

Shame on all of you that suggested an S15

I'm with quickr33melb, nothing wrong with an S15, but a Skyline has a bigger presence. Dunno what's going on about "33's are common". I can count the number of times I've seen a skyline on my fingers (no I ain't a mutant with 50 fingers!)

I dunno, maybe it's coz I'm out in the sticks and hardly see one around, I'm gonna have fun cruising up here amongst the holdens and fords :P

30k you'd certainly be in R34 territory. Go a 34, they look heaps better than the S15.

I'm with Villainous_J on the R33 common issue. I see an aveage of 2 per day and suddenly they're common? Less common than anything Ford, Holden, Subaru, BMW, Merc, Porsche, etc build (under $150,000 anyway).

A 32k, 33 gtr would be a lemon... i know two importers and they are honest when they tell me you cant get a decent 33 gtr for under 40k at the moment...

Dude, different states have different prices, here in Vic, there are a few 33 GTRs goin for about the mid 30s and all have been very sweet!

    • There's not a great deal to report here .... except ...... FOR .... LSD!!!  I bought a Quaife LSD from the UK and shipped it here .... Wish I'd just bought locally cause the shipping and duty was $700! But there were so many diffs used in the E90s I just wanted to be absolutely certain I was getting the right one so I spoke with a supplier in the UK who builds race cars and they have heaps of experience with the E90s.  I pulled the diff out which was seriously awesome - I've never done anything like that before, I must have watched 1000 videos on YT about it as well as consulting the Bentley manual. It was super easy in the end. The diff was delivered to the awesome folks at Hornsby Diffs and will be back in a few weeks. I also replaced the diff bushings with some Nolathane ones.  Really looking forward to getting it back and getting back to the track or even the skidpan.
    • yeah... the 13kg/mm springs weren't always in there, I had 10kg/mm but doing a few SMSP commanded heavier front springs. It's so good now going into T1 and T2, just need more seat time and real tyres.
    • Yes, well. Mine are less than half that. ARBs are not set to "dumb" either.
    • I would hope. But, we all know even the best companies have an issue sporadically.
    • LOL well, lucky mine doesn't have some R shit on it. Around town, it handles so much better than the R33, R33 in the wet is pretty dangerous to the untrained hoon, especially with 13kg/mm front springs.
