hey guys im selling my spare rb26 from my second r32 gtr which was imported just as a parts car for my better gtr to get those hard to get genuine smaller items... selling to try and free up some shed space , info below

r32 rb26 engine 100% complete as removed from the car with all accesories (other than a/c compressor) and bolt ons but no clutch or flywheel

all electronics included such as afm's coils ignitor cas ecu loom etc etc

nismo ball bearing turbos

the engine runs very VERY well blows no smoke no rattles and was very very quick

oil was changed and flushed prior to removal for better/longer storage capability engine has been turned over by hand every few weeks to keep everything sweet

currently the engine has a blown head gasket between cylinders 2 and 3 not into water or oil at all but you would never know i just found this when i did a routine compression and leak down test prior to removal from the car it was in ,from memory the other cylinders were within spec also, to me this is not an issue because whenever i install a engine i usually like to use a steel head gasket straight up , so its not like its a real problem

several members from this forum have seen the engine running it runs quiet and 100% smooth and "normal" with no issues it diddnt have a missfire at all and diddnt even show any signs of a blown head gasket what so ever... ran perfectly fine and drove awesome under load and it would have smashed my v spec gtr easilly

price for engine ecu loom afms accesories and bolt ons as a complete bolt in turn key package including the nismo ball bearing turbos $4800

any other questions just hit me up and ill answer as best as i can , any pre purchase inspection within reason is fine by me as long as you prove to me you are serious and have the cash

r32 gtr gearbox and other r32 gtr parts available upon request

located 1 hour west of Brisbane

cheers

may seperate accesories and loom ecu etc for someone who just needs an engine.... but pm your offer and list of what you do and do not want

i will not even consider selling small items untill the bulk has been sold

  • 2 weeks later...

i am unsure on specifications all i know is that when the car was purchased it was told that it had nismo turbos and these turbos do have the little rectangle cast into the compressor covers like the nismo turbos you see all around the net

comp covers like these below.... normal factory plain bearing turbos do not have this afaik

another example

it was a little laggy but it went like stink when it came on at 1 bar of boost :)

$3990

Still interested in the whole package.

I will have to upgrade the crank collor to put the whole package into a GTR33 ( recovering a Racepace motorsport gun engine with 400kwrw to put into my track car )pm me or call me on 0433 878905 to discuss further.

mayyyyy consider selling turbos seperate but id have to find out exactly which ones they are somehow first

tim/alex... if you are interested pm me back as im not sure what youre on about there??

hey mate... check the serial numbers on the core.. there should be a little metal tag.. saying what the product number is..... and then post it up on here, there are plenty of ppl on this site that can tell u what they are from those numbers..

yeah from what i can see thus far there are no tags otherwise id have posted them up already

the car was reasonably laggy compared to a std one and when it hit at 1 bar boost it hit bloody hard which made me look into it which was when i discovered the compressor covers which resemble the bb/nismo versions but as far as exact model type i dont think id know untill i relove and measure them up which i dont really want to do unless the engine or the turbos have been sold... rather keep it complete and in the one place with no small parts missing

    • I mean, I got two VASS engineers to refuse to cert my own coilovers stating those very laws. Appendix B makes it pretty clear what it considers 'Variable Suspension' to be. In my lived experience they can't certify something that isn't actually in the list as something that requires certification. In the VASS engineering checklist they have to complete (LS3/NCOP11) and sign on there is nothing there. All the references inside NCOP11 state that if it's variable by the driver that height needs to maintain 100mm while the car is in motion. It states the car is lowered lowering blocks and other types of things are acceptable. Dialling out a shock is about as 'user adjustable' as changing any other suspension component lol. I wanted to have it signed off to dissuade HWP and RWC testers to state the suspension is legal to avoid having this discussion with them. The real problem is that Police and RWC/Pink/Blue slip people will say it needs engineering, and the engineers will state it doesn't need engineering. It is hugely irritating when aforementioned people get all "i know the rules mate feck off" when they don't, and the actual engineers are pleasant as all hell and do know the rules. Cars failing RWC for things that aren't listed in the RWC requirements is another thing here entirely!
    • I don't. I mean, mine's not a GTR, but it is a 32 with a lot of GTR stuff on it. But regardless, I typically buy from local suppliers. Getting stuff from Japan is seldom worth the pain. Buying from RHDJapan usually ends up in the final total of your basket being about double what you thought it would be, after all the bullshit fees and such are added on.
    • The hydrocarbon component of E10 can be shittier, and is in fact, shittier, than that used in normal 91RON fuel. That's because the octane boost provided by the ethanol allows them to use stuff that doesn't make the grade without the help. The 1c/L saving typically available on E10 is going to be massively overridden by the increased consumption caused by the ethanol and the crappier HC (ie the HCs will be less dense, meaning that there will definitely be less energy per unit volume than for more dense HCs). That is one of the reasons why P98 will return better fuel consumption than 91 does, even with the ignition timing completely fixed. There is more energy per unit volume because the HCs used in 98 are higher density than in the lawnmower fuel.
    • No, I'd suggest that that is the checklist for pneumatic/hydraulic adjustable systems. I would say, based on my years of reading and complying with Australian Standards and similar regulations, that the narrow interpretation of Clause 3.2 b would be the preferred/expected/intended one, by the author, and those using the standard. Wishful thinking need not apply.
    • Yes they do. For some maybe. But for those used the most by abusers, ie Skylines, the numbers are known. The stock eyebrow height for R32/3 Skylines is about 365/375mm or thereabouts. The minimum such heights are recorded in adjacent columns in the database.
