R33 Horn Beeping On Turns?

hey guys, the R33 seems to have developed a bad habit today where the horn goes off when i turn, for the mean time i've disconnected the horn to avoid embarrassment but now upon turning their is a distinct "bump" at a certain point within the rotation, anyone got any idea what it is, how to fix it and how much i can expect for it to set me back (not to keen on blindly playing around the wheel as the last thing i want is that airbag shooting out) cheers guys!

It sonuds like the slip rings have broken beneath the steering wheel. I think you have no choice but to take the steering wheel off.

aghh damn, can anyone give me some insight into what actually triggers the airbag? these slip rings, where can i get replacements and how much am i looking at?

do a search covered numerous times. its the counter balance weight in your steering wheel which has come loose. if u cant get to it till the weekend and need to use your car just unplug the horns located between your headlights till you get it done.
