Hi all.

Just wondering, what would give greater acceleration off the line on a 6MT or 5AT (Haven't decided which one to get yet) 2004 350gt, a supercharger kit or a twin turbo kit? How much cheddar do you think it will set me back installed? Also, what would you guess the 0-100 times will be after these mods??

thanks :P

You will have more trouble getting out of the hole with a TT than a supercharger, if you can get the power down (maybe fit some massively wide tyres) then 0-100 for TT should theoretically be faster than a supercharger, because your torque-band will be much wider. Also TT > SC in 0-400. As for cost, you can do an off-the-shelf SC for < $7K if you're handy with a spanner and have a free weekend. TT you'll be looking at maybe $12-$15K and DIY will be pretty damn hard (it'll probably take you a full day and half just the change the exhaust manifolds).

thanks kam.

one other thing where bouts can i get all this work done?? i don't know of anywhere where i can buy, for example, the greddy TT kit. and then i need to find someone who's confident in being able to install it..

It won't be a DIY job.. i just don't have the experience to feel comfortable a complex mod like this

You'll need to verify RHD fitment of the TT kits you look at, I'm pretty sure the GReddy is LHD ONLY. From memory not a lot of people make RHD kits anymore...You can get HKS Single turbo, APS (if they still make them), GTM and maybe power enterprises. I think it has to do with manifold design clearing the steering hardware.

A lot of VQ FI tuning comes out of the states these days, contact Adam at Z1 Auto ( www.z1auto.com ), he's pretty good and may be able to find a solution for you. Otherwise Sam @ GTM ( http://www.gtmotorsports.com/ ) or you can order the HKS kit from Nengun.

For fitment there should be a number of reputable turbo shops in your state...if you're in Vic RE Customs, Chasers, Status Tuning just to name a few (most of my work is done at RE customs).

I have 17 inch wheel so no "big boys" but for me driving i just need one that fits and i can get here in EU/Czech.
    • Since winter isn't that harsh anymore in Poland, i will definetely drive it 365 days a year 😉. But if the snow hits i will try it for sure and let U know. Only swap i am planning to do is of course R34 GTR front 😍.
    • Hey. Very valuable information about pitwork, I will pay attention when buying any consumable parts 🙏 As for the carpets - I got a handful of information from nengun, from which it appears that indeed the carpets for the driver's side are OEM. They are not able to show me any pictures due to the long chain of different sales entities but after I place the order, as soon as the goods arrive at the nengun warehouse from which they will send the shipment to me they can send me photos and if my purchase differs from OEM I can immediately return it / cancel the purchase. I think I will give it a try 😉. Of course i'll let you know what's what as soon as i get them P.s. I know the topic is not relevant to the thread, but both nengun and amayama have these SICK 😍 trunk room lamps available. Do you know anyone who ordered them? I need to have one in my car
