R34 Tail Lights On A R31

i was thinking of making some up like cutting out around the 34 lights and cutting that into the 31 peice and sticking it in, then painting it to match the car,

has this been done?

Doubt its ever been done on a 31, but anything is possible. Not going to be cheap or easy though.

yeah, i'd basically have to buy the r34 lights they aren't cheap and probably another set of r31 lights, i don't think it'd be that hard

Honestly i think it would look very odd. Very obviously modern tail lights on a very obvious old car. Just wouldn't look right me thinks.

yeah if i do it, i'd probably keep them behind the see through surrounds
