Extra Information:

2 datsun 1600's

1st one(green) is a nice example of a stockish 1600

minor engine work, dual webs extractors etc

new carpet, rooflining and no crcks in dash

comes with heaps of peformance parts that i will list once i go through them all

bucket seats( the ones in it are stuffed but have 2 new seats for it)

minor rust

just needs a general clean-up

2nd one(blue) was purchased with the green one

it has the better gear, like 240k struts, better diff(think locked?)

this one has no motor/box, they guys before had a l20 bored out etc,

this was going to be the better car, has all the right gear in it, was running 11's with a twin web l20(think it might of being running NOS though)

has everything there( headlights, taillights, bumpers, tailshaft etc)

this one is more project, fill holes, sand n paint, and drop a sr20 in it, or go grazy old carby and scare all these turbo drivers

I will explain more as i go through the cars and parts

just wanting to get the cars for sale so people start to take interest

2 nice cars that will suit projects,

or buy them both, get green one on road to start with while you build the blue one

my goal was to have both cars look identical, one old school carby, on new school turbo so i could confuse people as to which one it was, haha

great for new p plate laws too, get a l20 motor, stroke n bore, and you will beat nearly every turbo there is( beauty of light weight cars)

$5000 ono, worth more then that, but need quick sale. swaps around 5500

or swap for import or something

so you can have

just the 2 datsun 1600's--------- $5000 ono or swaps

2 1600's and a full ex track/drift widebody 180sx--------- $5000 for dattos...$15,000 for 180sx... so $20,000...... or swap for S15 silvia

OR

2 1600's and a ex show lancer/candy paint--------------$5000 for dattos..........$10,000 for lancer..... so $15,000 ....or swap for ford xr6

What is needed to get the nice green one regoed?? Younger bro in carindale needs a car

man your prices are good, just not the right advertising place!

i suggest signing up to OZDAT

get a thread up there, it will sell ($5k for 2 1600's with mods is unheard of)

i luve these oldies though, dad had one when we were kids and pretended it was a ralley car, those twisty roadss out the back of hobart are much fun-ness!

yea mate thanks for the nice comments

yeah they are cheap, just need them gone b4 i move into small housewith no room to build cars

if i had a shed or was styaing here i would be building them myself

green one needs just the brakes bleed so they work

and get the lights working

other then that its ready to go

yeah ill try ozdat

    • The alloy coolant reservoir has a sight glass, so as long as I can see coolant in the sight glass it's GTG, as for PS, it isn't anything catastrophic if it gets low, and as it hasn't lost a drop since I have owned the car I cannot see it being an issue, even after putting the "big block" 2.5 in....LOL The only time it gets slightly messy is at oil changes, as the oil filter sits above the frame, and I need to use a plastic bottle with its bottom cut off to catch the flow when loosening the filter
    • Good on you for taking on the job, but it is a big one. Even if you have bolt on manifold and turbo, you will need: Post throttle pressure source to boost controller to wastegate (and FPR, and ECU/MAP sensor) Pre throttle pressure source to top of BOV(s) Oil feed - you can take that from the standard port in the middle of the block Oil return to block under the turbo - this is much trickier than it seems to route a decent/wide pipe past the manifold. You really can't use rubber hose because it is way too hot there, and also the oil out of the turbo core is a bit frothy so it needs to have a decent diameter Water feed - you can take that from the standard port in the rear of the block. Water return - mine runs to a T into the heater box return, just make sure you don't create a high point making bleeding hard. All of those lines should use 200 series style teflon braided hose with heat shielding because everything needs to be routed past the manifold. Also a turbo beanie is a really good idea to minimise the chance of the car catching fire (under bonnet lining in particular) You also need to decide a cam cover breathing solution as well, will you vent externally via a catch can (probably illegal) or return to the intake (plumbing required and can oil up everything over time) Keep in mind the intake and exhaust piping in the engine bay will be custom so you either need to be able to fab ally and steel or have someone you can get a car that isn't running to. Get the wideband fitting welded into the dump pipe at the same time. Also, just my opinion, a screamer pipe attracts attention and doesn't add power, I'd plumb it back if you want to be allowed to keep the car on the road. BTW do you know anything about how healthy the motor is, and what power you are targeting? Doubling or tripling the factory power on an unknown motor is a little risky. Also fuel system will need some attention (pumps, high current hanger, direct power and earth feed, injectors etc)
