THE BIGGEST DYNO DAY - 15th May

NSW Venues

O2 Auto Sports

25 Norfolk Avenue

South Nowra

Hunter All Wheel Dyno

ESP Racing

The Biggest Dyno Day is the result of a group of enthusiastic automotive trades' people wanting a challenge, that involved all of their skills.

10 dynos around Australia all running at the same time!

- VIC, NSW, SA, QLD, MACKAY, WA, KALGOORLIE and TAS.

All dynos are video linked so that the audience watching at one venue, will be able to watch the rest of Australia do their runs.

The organizational group consists of over 60 automotive trades' people. With their knowledge and understanding of what the public wanted, they came up with this idea.

Most of the venues will have multiple workshops working together, bringing the trade even closer (yet another strange thing to be done). For example, in some states we have workshops flying staff in to help out another workshop.

To be involved in something like this is a once in a lifetime experience: If not to run your car, just to be there to watch.

Free entry for spectators, BBQ and drinks on site.

To enter you need to register on line

at Biggest Dyno Day website and pay $50 to O2 Auto Sports.

There will also be a show 'n' shine for those who would like to bring there pride and joy, to place on display. Call or email to participate.

Together we are trying to make this the biggest dyno event in Australia's automotive history and to have fun doing it.

Only a month to go!

If I'm down at my Sussex Inlet unit that weekend, (via Mac Pass > Kangaroo Valley Rd), I'll drop in and buy Genelle a soy-bean-burger+OJ. Any place to eat close by, where we can have a good munch and still hear the revs?

We are pleased to announce that Nowra Auto Barn is offering prizes for our show n shine competition, so enter now. Email [email protected] to put your name down.

There's no way I'll have time to put a tune back in the car that I am confident with to run on the day :) ... I guess it's kinda clean, perhaps the show and shine, even with my crappy front bar....

Terry - the closest to eat on Saturday is prob Sth Macca's where we met up last time...

    • The question then becomes - was there any fluid coming from that hole before you did the rebuild ?    You may not have noticed, of course.   Depending on how you did the rebuild, the possibility has to be considered that somehow (cleaning ?)  fluid entered that hole and is now being 'forced'  out by small movements of the proportioning valve.   From the factory, there's actually a small rubber plug in that hole but with age and under-bonnet heat it's quite common for it to 'go missing'.  That rubber plug is designed to allow the venting process but also to prevent 'stuff' getting to the area (prevent corrosion, etc).   The plug is also not available as a spare part AFAIA. Personally I wouldn't race and buy a new master just yet but keep an eye on the area to see if the 'leak' continues.   If you're concerned about brake fluid damaging nearby paintwork, cable tie a piece of suitable absorbant material over the hole and remove/monitor occasionally.    Operation of the proportioning valve and the brake master itself won't be affected, but also keep an eye on brake fluid level, of course. In terms of a new master, the genuine part is getting expensive, unfortunately.  Amayama is showing AUD900+.   I was searching recently and there's an aftermarket part available from Japan made by 'Parts Assist': https://zenmarket.jp/en/yahoo.aspx?q=BNR32%2bBM50&p=1 Whether it's any good I have no idea, although in my experience Japanese aftermarket stuff is pretty good quality-wise.   The above site allows overseas buyers to purchase stuff more easily from Japan but there are fees and shipping costs, of course.   The original Japanese seller page is here: https://auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/auction/p1197401228 Copper/Nickel is fine but I still prefer bundy tube and it's also cheaper.
