Hello everyone,

Short notice but this Friday the 16th April, a Club Outrun member will be holding the Canberra Premiere of the Club Outrun Japan DVD.

For those that aren't up to date on what the Club Outrun DVD is i'll give you a little background; Last year 'Club Outrun' went to Japan for a drift trip which took in 3500kms in 11 days, 4 different drift events, lots of drinking, even more fireworks and generally a lot of stupidity with the culmination being a few trashed cars after going to Drift Matsuri at Ebisu.

Where: Mercury Bar

When: Friday April 16th, 7pm

It's a licensed venue, if you're under 18 you can't come in but pre-orders will be available through Sol on here. Mez wants people to run their orders through me as it's much more convenient for him to send all the orders to one spot & have me distribute them as need be. Sol will be taking an order sheet with him but WILL NOT accept cash on the night - He doesn't want to be carrying a fat stack of bills in civic. Payment can be made via electronic transfer before or after the night.

We don't have to put a tab on the bar, but you'd best buy a few drinks to support Mercury Bar as they're doing us a favour, so bloody well do the right thing in return.

Here's a few teasers

Thanks Eiji - I don't get on here that often so appreciate the free plug.

This trip was the precursor to the first G1GP (Gaijin series) at Ebisu, seeing 2 Aussie boys take on a few local Japanese drivers and walk away with a few parts for their troubles. It seems we've created a monster as there is now a G1GP series consisting of 3 rounds (one at each Drift Matsuri) this year with a view to make a few different classes in the coming years.

By all means please come along - anybody thats into cars is welcome, have a chat with like minded folks and have a few beers. The purpose of this is to promote the DVD for pre-orders, but there is no incentive to buy it.

    • Yeah, I guess its pretty easy to get to if this doesn't work. Just wait till next oil change and pull it out. I am going to have to do the oil pan gasket soon and thought I'd just replace it while I was there.  Thanks
    • All that matters is you're safe and you were able to type that post. Hopefully heaps of parts you can recover for the next shell.
    • This thread keps giving with the OMG!
    • A quick google, and some E39 users have found pulling my sensor out/apart and cleaning it alleviates their issue. Then get the oil warning to go off, and once it is off (from the sensor saying it was unhappy) some find they can just unplug it and it is happy to just keep going now. Maybe give it a crack? If you can actually pull the sensor apart, hit it with some electrical contact cleaner.
    • Yep. In the E39 it's slightly different than the others. Honestly I'd just leave it but every time I drive the car it tells me oil is low and that just makes me check the dipstick. It is a BMW Afterall and it tries to expel it's own oil regularly.  Thankfully it's not like my E90 that has no dipstick at all so you just gotta trust it.
