Hey stranger, not seen you for long time! Saw you at meet for 6am cruise but thought you were coming

so could catch up later, oh well, next time. Got all your wheel nuts on tight now? ha ha......

Good to see some of the original members still on here, you are one of the rare few who joined before me!

Cheers, John

G'day John, it has been a while mate, it certainly has. It was good to at least say hi face-to-face on the morning of the cruise, as brief as it was - I had commitments later that morning so unfortunately I couldn't come on the cruise proper. Ha-ha, yeah those wheel nuts are rock solid these days, I know that cause I fitted all new studs and I fit the wheel nuts on these days  The 35 looks and sounds great mate, as does the 33. You, Andrew and I, and one or two others, we've been around on SAU for a while now. I still remember the days of SDU, when I was still young - late 90's.

Well im waiting for the Supra to be finished bloody picked it up around christmas, took it back for 30 psi tune and we found out the head had broken springs and stuff. So when that one is finished the 34 can get the necessary cooling system and engine rebuild done.

But yeh when your ready man on the brakes, i gotta say i have no complaints about them whatsoever, and the Supra will be getting the same package, i also have knowledge that my set came out of the same factory that builds the Patented Greddy Grex package.

Sorry to hear about the Supra, not good mate. When I was at BW last I saw a bunch of under-bonnet parts sitting in a pile and figured it wasn't good. Hang in there mate, it will get there in the end. Both cars are awesome bits of kit, a JZA80 and an R34 GT-R, spoilt for choice.

The brake package is a bargain. Half the price and the same quality as the name brand items.

brakes.... best deal I found around was the following, paid $869usd delivered for wilwood superlite 4-piston calipers, drilled 330mm rotors, metal lines, pads, bolts, & brake bracket mount.

sample - http://cgi.ebay.com.au/330mm-200SX-Skyline...=item1c11584bd6

Ive put these on my R32 gtst sedan rb26dett Im doing up as a 2-seater track. Added speedbleeders for fluid bleeding ease.

The stagea is using the r32 front gtr calipers.

Brendan, nice buy mate! That's a lot of gear for the money - especially when the AUD was in the $0.90's. The track car sounds like a lot of fun too. The brake set-up George is talking about is a little more expensive, but bang for buck is outstanding value for a 380mm rotor, huge 6-8 piston caliper, line, bracket and pad deal. And the quality is as good any of the Japanese brand name kits.

Thanks, Kel. And I hope your potential employment situation comes out the way you want it too. Fingers crossed.

Thanks, Damo. Mate if you do manage to scan it, do me a favour, don't put the photo of my face up on here - talk about a shocker!

I had a giggle :)

Hey Matty. Yeah for sure mate. I haven't driven the 33 much of late, but certainly keen to get it out. I haven't seen you since that day at Macca's - you and the missus were arriving and Kim and I were leaving. What are you driving these days? We should look at having a reunion with the old school crew.

G'day mate! Been a while but yes the car is finally at a point I can drive it whenever I want - sort of. Thanks. So how about the big 3.1L, how is she going? Does it drink E85 these days?

Ironically mine has been doing what yours was. Sitting for a long while. Mates neighbor backed into the front 1/4 panel, then got defected 5mm too low....its been sitting since. I'll have the time soon to start playing with it again but first i need to fix them minor problems

Cubes is the one to ask about energy drinks these days too

    • Don't even try to run it on the stock ECU if you're going to have the boost controller bring boost above ~10 psi. I've already told you that. If you use the Nistune ECU, you will need to CAREFULLY read the available documentation for Neo tuning, and read some threads on the Nistune forums, to discover the various things you have to do to prevent the ECU from going bananas when the boost is too high. The is a table associated with th boost sensor that must be modified to prevent it from shitting the bed. This is just one of the things that you will need to do to the tune in Nistune, because the Neo turbo ECU will be expecting to see a number of things (such as the TCS) that are not there, and you have to block the DTCs on those. It is totally not surprising to me that you are having the problems that you are, but the solutions to these problems have been known for >15 years. So just get it done.
    • Hi. Sry iam not a mechanic and iam not at the car atm so i dont know 100% but they told they measure those and even try to change those. AFM they have two. Coils are new a they have my old one too. Plugs too. ECU...we have 25 NEO stock and Nistune 25 NEO.   But i dont know if any one those could be the problem and why/if/what can cause this, Only thing they did not check is fuel...but that walbro 255 is new(like 1,5 years)... That fuel pressure gauge idk...but i let them know Any suggestions?   EDIT: how can they know if it is like you say he ECU pull power when it reaches a specific boost level that is too high? Tha car has boost controler
    • Can you clarify what you mean by boost cut, do you mean it misfires both when under load (driving) and when stationary and out of gear? Or does the ECU pull power when it reaches a specific boost level that is too high (boost control issue)? Does it occur at idle with no throttle? When you say "the ECU is OK", what ECU is it and why do you think it is OK? Have you used the NEO ECU, and if so do you have a MAP sensor attached? Same for the AFM, why do you think it is OK? Do you have any way to put a fuel pressure gauge on it (even just a mechanical one between the fuel filter and fuel rail)?
    • Hi.. Just another problem. So maybe you can help. I(my mechanic) done swap from my RB20DE NEO to RB25DET NEO. Everything is OK but we have a boost cut. Coils/Plugs are ok...AFM is ok. ECU is ok. I have Walbro 255 but it "changed" sound few months ago(you can hear it ouside) you did not hear that when it was new(maybe faulty?) Sooo...what now? What can cause this boost cut? It is even when you standing still...
