Some old skid clips..

Answers to some FAQ's and some advise...

1:Remove ALL crap from your car that is not actually BOLTED to your car.. paper, sub boxes, junk, tool boxes, lose crap. They fly round and wreck stuff!

2: Check your tyre pressures. I recommend you pump the REAR tyre pressure to the MAX as indicated on the sidewall of that tyre. DONT use SPINNERS! Spinners unbalance the car...

3: You will need at least half a tank of fuel to go skidding for the day, depending on how thursty your car is and how heavy your foot is!

4: If your driving more than an hour to get to the skid pan, plan a rest somewhere on the way home, It may save your life.. its a long day!

5: Check ALL fluids, dont overfill ANYTHING.

6: Dont come skidding if your car has a mechincal issue, you may break it.. ..and that sux!

7: If you want to get better at skidding, LISTEN to the instructor, he knows a few things..!

8: If your a newbie.. thats cool. Dont worry if you dont get it all together the first skid day.. it takes time and practice! Just ask for help, and we will do what we can!

9: You dont need a helmet, special licence or special tyres. Just bring your normal car as you normally drive it..

10: If you want to go skidding on another day, please email me and I'll see what I can do for you.

IF you require more info, feel free to email/pm me.

RULES

01: NEVER skid past or near a car or person! Dont skid when people are picking up cones. This is VERY bad, you will be sent home.

02: Do not spin tyres ANYwhere but on the skid pan.

03: Drive off the skid pan slowly.

04: Cool down laps on the black stuff are fine, consider other drivers, no overtaking, 40KM/h speed limit.

05: This is NOT drifting. Drifting involves tyre smoke and close car proximity. We dont do either.

06: All vehicles MUST have a full exhaust.. including mufflers. Sound limits do apply.

07: Pick up your own cones in your skid go, not after your go.

08: Seatbelts must always be worn, keep all of your body INSIDE the vehicle.

09: Only the nominated driver (who signs the indemnity form is permitted to drive.

10: Refrain from smoking near the shed and other cars.

11: No alcohol, drugs or HANGOVERS are permitted!

12: Your friends are your responsibility, They get asked to leave, so do you!

13: Dont break my rules, play nice or else you and your mates WILL be evicted.

14: OPEN license required. If asked, you must produce it on the day.

Use your common sence, and everybody will have a great day!

Got videos or photos from this recent day? Would be keen as to come out for the next one of these would be awesome

yea x2

and when's the next time this is on?

oohhh and why is it $160 just to skid around on a wet skidpad??

if any info would be good thanx..

PM's sent.

Basicly, low car numbers = large amount of track time = higher cost but heaps more fun!

I've got a disc here, but having trouble loading it.. might see if I can get it onto youtube and add another link!

cheers

    • Hello!  i just finished manual swaping my r34 skyline with a r33 rb20de box(RB71C)box  When the car is running it squeaks crazy loud and it was smoking from the gearbox area. The gearbox is fine it was tested. The clutch slave cylinder seems like it doesn't fully releases the clutch. I want to ask if this noise is from the throw out bearing or could it be the clutch assembly or disk att.xFliq87Gzw6kImKBVqDebXkj0fBqymk0JaYeP3_3SlM.mp4
    • A few small updates since the previous post and lessons. I decided to do a little interior light upgrade on the 110. I quite like the iilumo items, even if they're a bit of a premium over other brands. You'll also note the Stedi Fogs, that will go into the S15 fog lights as I needed to match the bulbs since I got the new ones earlier. I hope they fit as the body is quite a bit longer than your normal bulb.  Annoyingly, I managed to trip the fuse, which normally wouldn't be an issue until I located the fuse. I can't say I've ever come across this. I had lucked out that someone nearby had a spare, but oddly enough Toyota dealerships seem to keep this in stock. I ordered some to keep in my stash and as luck would have it, someone else nearby tripped the same fuse so I passed on the favour.  I also did a little service on the 110 ahead of some additional work coming up. It's been annoying that Goleby's stopped carrying this particular HKS filter for the 110, so now I need to keep them on order from Japan. I also took the opportunity to install a bash plate and number plate riser. The plate riser is such a cheap but nice fix to help really tidy up the car. I'm tempted to now also replace my headlights, on this car. Both items were from Project Aero.    I also needed to replace the rear tyres on the 110, and after trying to get it aligned learnt that I need to replace some bushes in the front end, so that's next.  Closing out this update with a nicer picture as always!
    • Yeah mate, never miss it.
