Im looking at getting my 32 tinted next week and have gone to tint-a-car but i want darker then their darkest legal 35% tint plus the guy said no one does limo/dark tints anymore in WA(which is crap) and ive also looked at TKO but didnt see what i wanted on their website....

Does anyone have any recommendations for a good place, prefer SOR,i dont want anything crazy like 5-10% but dont want the 35% 'still see in the car job'..

You didnt expect TKO to ADVERTISE illegal tint on their website now did you ?

TKO will do it.

Mine came from Japan with a 20% on the sides and rear

LUCKY! :ninja:

You only get away with it because R34s have stained glass, dont you?

otherwise you wouldn't have passed pits (or it would have been removed on compliance) :P

why would you want to make a cop bait car even more attractive to the cops?

keep the tint legal it's a lot less hassle

Yeh ur right there mate,I dont want attention from the fuzz, but i have a power fc with hand controller and a few other electrical goodies easily visible when u look in the windows so i just want to hide them and the legal tint juz dont do it so i want to go darker.Ive seen limo style and lighter style tints on a number of skylines lately so im wondering how they go (and i was driving besides a black 33 last week that had daaaark dark tint on it and the cops driving behind him but left it alone, tho the driver was grannying it :) .. my mates rex has had 10% on it for the last 3 years and not a yellow yet so i guess its a hit n miss thing....

Thanx 4 the replies and reco's peepz..

I have gauges and everything on my dash and got my car tinted at tko and have never had a problem, you can actually barely see in. Just get the darkest legal stuff and save yourself the hassle of yellow stickers. Limo tint will also make it really hard to see out of the car at night, to the point that you will not be able to see where you are going.

    • Impossible to remove the housing while turbo is installed on the manifold on the engine. So I have to do it anyways. I plugged it so there will not be any debris in there. Will vacuum aswell
    • would a r34 gtr hood line up with gt/gtt stock fenders? after latch, front bumper and hinges are swapped for gtr ones? or would the fenders be too low or high in relation to the hood surface? ( I believe seeing somewhere that gtr front fenders use some type of riser for the sides, but do not know how that relates to stock gt/gtt fenders.)
    • You just need to remove the compressor housing, not the entire turbo. I would not be drilling and tapping anything with the housing still on anyways.
    • So, I put my boat on a boat. First of all, I'm going to come out and say it. Why is Tasmania not considered a holy goal, an apex that all road-legal modified cars go to, to experience? This place is an absolute wonderland of titanic proportions. If people are already getting club runs for once in a lifetime 30 person cruises to Tassy then I've never seemed to see it. It is like someone replaced the entire place with an idyllic wonderland for cars, and all of the people living there with paid actors who are kind, humble, and friendly. Dear god. After doing a lap of almost all of the place I've found that it's a great way to find out all of the little things that the car isn't doing quite right and a great way to figure it all out. All in all, I drove for 4 hours a day for a week and nothing broke. I didn't even need to open the engine bay. This is by all means a great success, but it has left me with a list of things to potentially address. I also now have a 3D printed wheel fitment tool which annoyingly hasn't got any threads in it to actually assemble it. I might be able to tape it together to check the sizing I actually want to use, but it'll likely involving pulling the shocks out to properly measure travel at least at the front, and probably raise the car while I'm at it, at least in the rear. I scraped on quite a few things and I'm not sure how else to go about it. I was taking anything with a bump at what felt like 89 degree angles. And address those 10 other tasks. And wash the car. God damn it is dirty. And somehow, the weather was perfect the entire time - And because I was on the top of Mt Wellington it turns out it was very much about to freeze up there. I did something I typically never do and took some photos up there in what must have been -10 and the foggy felt like suspended ice, rather than mere fog. If you own a car in Australia, you owe it to yourself to do it.
    • Damn that was hilarious, and a bit embarrassing for skylines in general 😂 vintage car life ey. That R33 really stomped. Pretty entertaining stuff
