Hi guys.

I am wondering what would be the safe boost level to run on a RB25DET NEO (ER34) with stock internals. I am boosting at 1.3bar (18.8psi) with stock internals and a 1.3mm metal gasket. Is that safe and reliable? Btw, I have no knocking issues as shown on the PFC.

What would be the threshold before the insides have to be upgraded.

The search button is not invisible. It's at the top bar incase you haven't try to use it to search. I have.

There are way too many differing thoughts via the search. Some say 300rwkw some say 400rwkw.

I am not running GT62. I am on HKS GT-RS but the question is not how much boost can the turbine take. It's how much boost/power can the stock internals handle.

Thanks for your reply.

The reason you won't get a good answer is due to almost no one knowing what your in cylinder pressures are during combustion.

The amount of "boost" is a fairly moot point providing you have good tuning.

A HKS GT-RS will not exceed the internals.

fwiw i run 17psi with stock motor and stock HG. runs a 3076 with highmount manifold and all the supporting mods, makes around 300 rwkw and does it reliably as hell

X amount of boost doesnt = limit of an engine (to a degree) as its certainly safer to run 16 ish psi thro a larger turbo then it is running 16 psi thro a stock turbo where its past the efficency range.

with a decent turbo/tune/supporting mods theres no real reason why you cant make 300 rwkw+ all day every day
