Ok since last post have done a few more track sessions, sprint and drift.

Havnt really been driving the car since Feb cause the 20 is on its way out, lost compression in cylinder 1 :(

Still boosts and skids, have done a day and a night session at QR on 5.5 cylinders hehe

Thanks dude its gettin there haha

No have only ever had the teks gold and orange. They were either an early model nismo or hanbai's. Have never seen another set for sale...they are long gone as the were 4 stud.

P1's are a nice wheel but have never seen them in good specs, run 30mm spacers with mine.

Food for thought :)

So car still has the miss I now think its boost cut as I have got the warning come up on the boost controller when the car cuts. So need to buy a boost gauge now to see whats going on.

This weekend got my toe arm brace, rear strut brace and front strut brace bolted in, had to cut the throttle cable bracket down to make it fit.

Also quickly tried out my new guard roller.

Heres where im up to with the front suspension. Need to pick up my ikea formula tie rods today and will borrow a bigger tap and die set during the week to fix my RH LCA thread ooops

can you say pink bits ceffy :action-smiley-069:

missfire might be the common missing caused by the r33 and r32 coil pack, does it sound like a shit splutter or is it just a pop on/off throttle at a certain rpm

you've made a low s13 strut brace work altho i'd say on start up and under engine load you'd get some rubbing

looking good

Haha I like my pink bits :P

Nah wont be the coil packs, its not spluttering or anything it just feels like the normal fuel cut limiter but only does it once for like a second then power comes back and will rev to redline...

Sturt brace is a bit of a worry but starts up and revs fine will have to see how it goes under load can always modify the throttle bracket a little more.

Haha thanks guys. I love playing with colours Stang :)

Have now learnt 2 pak at work so can make much nicer things.

Some of my wheel collection, had a couple of hours the night before an event so decided to play with some 'export quality'

    • But seriously, can we ask for the results of the "tip a bottle of metho into a nearly empty tank" experiment?
    • Hang on. Let me get this straight. The desire is to have coilovers, BC in particular, to be MORE comfortable on Sydney roads than stock suspension? Well, that's obviously not right. BCs have crude damping design at the very best, and typically hard spring rates. BC stands for Billy Cart. And then, the desire is to put in some shitty old worn out stockers, to get it blue slipped and then put the BCs back in? And then.....what? Not worry about getting pulled up by the Plod? Because you seem to have raised a worry about paying for engineering (which actually does solve all your legality problems) and still getting pulled up.... but the only problem there is that if/when that happens you have to show your paperwork at the inspection station. Whereas, if you just swap in borrowed shitty old stockers to get it slipped now, and then you get defected in the future, you have to go find more shitty old stockers then too. You course of action looks like this set of options: Buy brand new stock type dampers, and springs. probably cost a bit more than $1k all up, but will last for the remaining life of the car. Put them in, pass inspection, drive on them forever more. Hell, they could even be really nice Bilsteins and Kings or other lower&stiffer springs if you wanted. Get the car engineered as is. ~$1k. Buy new Shockworks coilvers (or MCA) and also pay for engineering. You're spending a lot more here. But these will be the best things that you could drive around on.
    • Might be worthwhile hitting up Facebook's groups, I know most of them contain terrible people and scammers - however you might be able to find someone that's in Sydney with factory suspension you could purchase and/or hire. Just do not send any form of money anywhere, in person cash only.
    • Thanks @Duncan Ride height is fine. I think it's almost stock tbh. Happy to share a pic. I don't actually have a regular mechanic as haven't lived in Sydney too long. Could you or anyone recommend any shops in Sydney?
