i know that title can be portrayed as a little bit inflammatory if you guys don't what sort a dude i'm like yet.

but it's a serious question.

are you guys all mentally retarded or something?

because - and it's not just me that notices... in-fact it was actually my girlfriend that initially pointed it out to me before i started seeing it...

It seems that ALL V series skylines in Perth have either one or both rear corners of their bumper bars dented in

i noticed this like 3 months ago, n just thought "nahhh i'ts just probably the same car i'm seeing" so i started memorising number plates etc, and i noticed that i was right - seems that every sivler V35 coupe i see has one of or both of their rear corners of their bumper bars dented in - quite badly too

so - i have to ask... and i'd like a genuine answer before this thread gets turned into a total mockery... why do all your cars have the two obligatory dents in your rear bumpers? quite "high up" in the bumper too!

i've narrowed it down to the following options

1) The Cpillar is hard to see through during parking so sometimes you reverse the car onto a rock/mailbox/short wall/bus stop/drivethru orderbox

2) the reverse sensor alarm is loud and annoying like a vuvuzuela and after three days of parking you just rage-park into a rock/mailbox/short wall/bus stop/drivethru orderbox

3) it's done in japan on RORO boats maybe?

4) mentally disabled. like. fully retarded. not "suffers from aperplexy" or any of that questionable shallow end mental disability. i mean like. steady eddy. go shopping with a crash helmet type.

so what's the deal?

i'm curious - do YOU guys do it?

or is it someone from previous ownership?

is it just a V35 "injoke"?

is it a "mod" that you guys do?

what do you HIT exactlY??? is it a rock/mailbox/short wall/bus stop/drivethru orderbox???

...why do you never fix it?

would you like me to organise an event open exclusively for silver V35 drivers (secret of course) and i'll teach you all how to reverse park?

fyi - this thread is in jehst don't get me wrong. but i would actually like to know...

LOL @ being so annoyed you created a detailed thread on it.. I will definitely be keeping an eye out now for dented V35's and checking this thread.. hilarious.. Maybe its a 'cool' in joke as suggested, seems as though alot/most of the ss utes (cbf working out which model, cbf thinking about holdens) have a dent on their ute tray flap thing.. Maybe its some sort of SS ute/v35 conspiracy...

lol the dent in the flap on the utes is where retards forget there tow ball is on.. let the flap go instead of placing it down. and bam! seen it happen, and have been told about it lol

have u seen my baseball

LOL @ have you seen my baseball

just thought of another possible case scenario

perth's epic storm from april or whatever

maybe there was some certain form of bionic hail that was purpose designed to seek and uglify V35 rear bumpers?

but it doesn't happen to red, blue, black, or white V35's. only silver

maybe it was a dealer option?

oh and!

LOL @ being so annoyed you created a detailed thread on it..

yeah quick 3 things about me.

1) i make detailed threads about stuff i'm passionate about. such as conducting studies into the behaviour of silver V35 drivers. and furthermore. i am dead serious about planning and executing an AHG driver training day for V35 drivers so i can teach them first hand in how to reverse park. first with two weeks of theory.

2) as you can see i have given this topic some serious thought.

3) i'm just being Miley.

Obsessive compulsive?

yes and obviously to the same level as eccentrix with his "WHITE R33 SHUT THE f**k UP" signature hahah

i guess dark green s13s, gun metal grey r32's and dark blue xr6 turbos are now equally as shit

:P

Hilarious thread!

I've noticed exactly the same thing, except I've never payed this much attention to it. After the "some cool mod you guys do..." bit I've decided that was the funniest post I've read nearly all year dude =]

    • Clutch is a spec brand, new clutch system,( PP, flywheel, friction disc, etc. pull type) installed 100 miles ago, with no problems.
    • looking for some help and maybe some insight on others experience with a new LSD. R34 GT ran and drove beautifully, but always alot of grip loss due to the open R200 rear end, so I just installed a new 1.5 LSD way into the stock open R200 for a ER34. Simple. Everything seemed right. I test drove for the first time this weekend. as I started to back out the garage the first time slowly with tires straight it sounded and felt like I had a loose or half disconnected drive shaft...that was clucking around loose and shaking entire vehicle, and making it feel like the trans clutch was spontaneously slipping then grabbing very roughly while just letting out pedal slowly. I backed it out went to pull forward with the same noise, shake and slip grab feeling with hesitation, I turned the tires to back out more and then pulled ahead some same thing but worst because of added wheel resistance (which that I expected) puzzled … pulling it back in checking everything over and finding nothing wrong, I tried it the next day. same thing, couldn’t believe how it shook everything again making a terrible noise and making it feel like the trans clutch was slipping and grabbing, but I got it out of garage into the driveway, got it straight, drove forward and then reveres a few times in a straight line everything shaking , causing what felt like clutch slip and grab every time, sounded like right behind front driver tire and I could feel it in the floor board with my feet,... worst right when beginning to let clutch pedal out to engage slightly, shuttering and sounding terrible along the way…I managed to slowly get down the road, babying it the whole way, once I was rolling (out of 1st) seemed to be better and between shifts, then clutch felt closer to normal…not slip/ grab etc., but back down to any stop, straight road or turning, same thing. Made no difference if all tires were straight or if I was turning. All other gauge read out correct. with in 2 miles as planned I reached the empty parking lot and performed the break in procedure that came with lsd, essentially to drive in a figure 8 a bunch.  Did this, binding chattering, and shaking the car the whole way. I drove it back home seemed somewhat normal once I was in straight line and past 10 mph or so, and I know it will “bind” on corners and cause some tires squeal when turning especially from a stop, but when I begin to move it still causes what feels like the trans clutch to slip and jerk badly as well as shaking the entire car, and sounds terrible, that I didn’t expect. I used the fluid they supplied with LSD kit and did the breaking, planning to change fluid as they suggest after breaking, but wondering will it get smoother or less aggressive with use? maybe a 1.5 is just too aggressive for normal road driving?   I have a LSD that I put in my 71 cuda when I restored it, with amazing smooth , quite yet effective results. Different style LSD but that ones a joy to drive. maybe expecting too much from this R200?
