What colour is std, I thought purple was std???

Mines a '98 R33 and I've got yellow tops= nismo 555's and they flow like that as well - they were on the car already from Japan, but I'm sure that purple tops were the std colour in '98 rb25's??

the ones in the pics are def top feed.

in fuel rail my stock rb25's in b-ground deatschwerks 550's which are also purple .. :P

no-one actually answered the question at hand.

regardless of what injector they are, will they fit in an rb25det(from an r33) with a top feed fuel rail?

or not?

i also have top feed injectors that i'm trying to fit to an rb25det but ran into trouble trying to find a rail to suit the oem manifold.

save the hassle mate just go buy some deatschwerks they are side feed they are not to expensive andi have heard nothing but good news aout them post them back up on ebay for som other noob to buy them and walla you then have the dosh to buy some deatschwerks

of course they are cheap. they are re-manufactured injectors (or at least they were, they are much pricier now so perhaps they are new new injectors not used re-manufactured ones). but I believe they are nicknamed deathworks for a reason...

They are using new feedstock not reconditioned old ones as you state BB.

anyone know if they're a direct fit like the nismos are? any idea on spray pattern etc? considering swapping out my nismo 555s for some of those 1000s but dont wanna sacrifice any driveability/economy

so i shot off some emails to both gcg and deatschwerks and got the following info.

from deatschwerks-

Thank you for contacting us with your injector questions.

Yes, these are 100% drop-in injectors like the OE injectors. The 550cc injectors are 4-hole and the 740/810cc injectors are a single hole. All sizes are high impedance like stock, and have a conical spray pattern like stock. ...and all sets are matched and balance to within 1-2% of each injector in the set, both statically and dynamically.

and from gcg-

The injectors (1000cc Side Feed RB25DET) come with O-Rings, and have a Single Cone ConicalType spray pattern. These are $842.15 Inc GST for the set, and they are about 5-7 days away.

thoughts? seriously considering a set of the 1000cc, just not sure if the spray pattern is gonna be good enough?

    • Wife wanted basket things in the wardrobe in our temporary house. Thought about ripping our the wardrobe and fitting the entire IKEA set, but it's a temporary house and we want to move in a few years. So IKEA advertises this as a 50cm unit, however the actually basket and rails measure 46cm wide. Only issue was depth, IKEA stuff is quite deep, where as the builder special junk is super shallow at less than 40cm. Send it, chopped the rails, then offset the mounting holes, job done, happy wife, less shit scattered all over the bedroom. Did the same to the other side too. Also drove the Skyline shit box today, dropped off oil at Supercheap Auto. I didn't realise they only now take max 2x bottles per visit. I visited 2x Supercheap Autos.
    • I've seen similar actually in my situation. You never know what tables are attempted to be used when the car thinks it's -99C or +200C. The fail state is not usually that extreme but you know what I mean - it was in my case though! This is where being able to read all the sensors is useful cause you see this stuff really quickly.
    • The above is very important. However as long as you keep timing relatively low, it's plausible to make your own knock ears and plausible to learn to tune with a modern ECU that can do wideband O2 correction like a boost controller. I mean if you only have one viable road to even drive the car on, learning to tinker to this level may be worth doing given you can't do much else with the car...?
    • I find the fact that the rear plate has to be bent inwards at the rear not so bad: but the front is just awful: It's like come on. (these are my very old, now retired/turned in plates) TBH it is a lot of money to fix a minor issue, the fact I said "I'll never really spend the money on doing this" is why people ended up buying them as a gift for a 'car guy' who can be hard to shop for.. for car guy things.
    • I just bent the ends of my premo plates. It even went through Regency like that after the engine conversion and the inspector (a great bloke!) just squinted his eyes and said "I didn't see that". Plates, and how they look, are just something that have zero importance to me.
