Just abit confused Ive gone around looking to get a car trailer made up to tow my r33 gtst and the places recommend a 14*6'6 trailer now the overall length of the car is roughly 4.6m so thats over 14 foot, just wondering if anyone of you guys have trailers for your skyline what size they are?

i'm not too sure about the sizing, but you have to remember that the length of the trailer compared to the car isn't as important as the length of the trailer compared to the wheelbase of the car. the sizing they are talking about would be the size of the deck the car sits on. usually you have the front bar hanging off the front of the deck a bit (depending on design and how low the car is) because you want more weight over the drawbar than you do over the back of the trailer as they tow better that way. it doesn't matter much of the back of the car hangs out past the back of the trailer (unless it doesn't have removable ramps, but even then they usually sit at an angle). i'd say though that a 14' trailer would prbably be fine.

Yeah 14 by 6'6 is pretty much a standard size for car trailers so should be fine.

One thing to be carefull of is the weight the trailer is registered for.

Alot of places will put for example 3 tonne suspension but only register the trailer for 2 tonne GVM. That means that you take away the weight of thr trailer which could be 600 odd kg's depending on materials and you only have 1400kgs left for car, tyres, tools and anything else you may need.

God forbid you ever have an accident, or less serious you are asked to go on a weigh bridge, you could be in some sh!t. That and the fact that other than the suspension, the rest of the components (brakes, chasis thickness etc) will be matched to 2 tonne GVM and no more I'd really be carefull about the weight.

dude, go to the motorsport section, go to the post that says show me ur trailers and ask in there.

where r u getting it done, im looking at organising 1 for me and a mate but were leaning more towards buying an older tow truck lol

    • Yep, the closest base tune available was for the GTT, I went with that and made all the logical changes I could find to convert it to Naturally Aspirated. It will rev fine in Neutral to redline but it will be cutting nearly 50% fuel the whole way.  If I let it tune the fuel map to start with that much less fuel it wont run right and has a hard time applying corrections.  These 50% cuts are with a fuel map already about half of what the GTT tune had.  I was having a whole lot of bogging when applying any throttle but seem to have fixed that for no load situations with very aggressive transient throttle settings. I made the corrections to my injectors with data I found for them online, FBCJC100 flowing 306cc.  I'll have to look to see if I can find the Cam section. I have the Bosch 4.9 from Haltech. My manifold pressure when watching it live is always in -5.9 psi/inHg
    • Hi My Tokico BM50 Brake master cylinder has a leak from the hole between the two outlets (M10x1) for brake pipes, I have attached a photo. Can anyone tell me what that hole is and what has failed to allow brake fluid to escape from it, I have looked on line and asked questions on UK forums but can not find the answer, if anyone can enlighten me I would be most grateful.
    • It will be a software setting. I don't believe many on here ever used AEM. And they're now a discontinued product, that's really hard to find any easy answers on. If it were Link or Haltech, someone would be able to just send you a ECU file though.
    • Yes sir am asking is there possible way from aem tuner from wiring pins
    • Have you checked cam to crank timing and confirmed balancer marks are correct?
