hi all.. ive been playing with a ecu upgrade for my car, as i thought the issue i was having with higher boost on lower revs was the ecu.. i went to pull out mine and i found this.. no other stickers like mines retuned ecus.. and ive never seen this blue sticker before were the normal black sticker would be..

anyone know what it is, and if its any beta then a standard ecu?.. thanx if someone could help..

its out of a 1996 series 2 r33 gtst..

quick google search...

"Remanufactured ECU's IMO means it's been Cleaned, Tested & Reprogramed with the latest software for that particular model"

that is someones take on it, sounds pretty accurate though

I also have one of these in my '96 s2 33.

I've always assumed someone went to Nissan for a factory ECU (replace aftermarket before export maybe) and this is what they sell.

id say your spot on, because they wouldnt make 15 year old ecus anymore

damn thanx... i should of googled.. damn me ..

because it has newer software, would it be able to be tuned?.. or nistune can do something with it, instead of me getting a 300zx ecu and getting nistune to chip and tune..

lol no, its the same as a normal one.. just manufactured after your car was. so its newer, not tunable, same as everyone elses.

$2.95 as per Paul.

    • Ha ha ha, that's fair mate! We have the crackhead dogs now. Mainly because the missus wants the crazy dogs while she still has the energy and capacity to be able to keep up with them! Ha ha our current two are both Working GSD, there brothers and sisters (from the same litters) are in Police, Corrective Services, and I believe one did end up in defence force too. They're wild and fun, yet right now, both curled up asleep on the lounge room floor while we watch some TV. Mal is very likely the next dog (unless I get my couch potato guardian dog 😛 )   What are your Kitties names? Are you planning some house work, like those high kitty shelves, built in scratching post, and some cat passages from one room to another room?
    • Maine Coone, did look at but to big and fluffy As for performance dogs, we had Mals at work, performance dogs are fun to watch, but, way to much work for this old rooster
    • Yep, it was only an option on the Q50 Hybrid.  Same in Japan as far as I know. And doesn't use a centre diff like the Suby's do, so not the same as the WRX.  But it also isn't a reactive AWD like other Nissan AWD vehicles are, eg. Murano/Xtrail/etc.
    • You should have got a Maine Coone then. Only thing is they're big. But so cool, and just like a dog. Or, just get yourself a high performance dog. That'll teach you for wanting Parkour indoors 😛
    • Are you thinking of Bens R32? I don't remember if his went through the bonnet itself, but it went through the chassis rail. Brad (RISKIN) bought it, and turned it into a track car. It's funny how anti people are of Jim Berry now. I remember when I pulled mine out (during an engine change) and inspected it and found it cracking badly. At that point in time so many people were even on SAU, were so pro Jim Berry, and that was after Bens GTR exploded his quite publically.
