Good luck.

Speak to Banger...he always has atleast one for sale....he did have THREE for sale at one point in time.

And if your mate wants to be a fully sikh drifter why can't he build one / do mods himself ? Drifting isnt a community for noobs.

yeah such a product does not exist in perth. Mine sorta fits your criteria but there's no way im selling it to your mate.

Kristian from ironchef has an rb25det cefiro ready to drift 88 mnp coloured one for sale 10,500 get in touch with him.

Haha na my ceff still in one piece engineless at my workshop tho. Currently deciding what engine to put back in.

Rowan me and my friend have allready come and looked at yours if you remember. And not inflate your ego it was a bit tidy and it would be a crime to track a car that straight.

Rather buy one allready half done as to save cost.

I kinda take offence being called a noob. I'm asking who's selling what not what is a cefiro :S

anyways thanks Rowan for information will look it up

Already looked at bangers for sale asking too much for what it is.

Isnt Banger's only 11k?

Perth:

Track only/B Class Rego Cefiro, $3000 - $5000

Cefiro registered, or registerable, $5000 - $10'000 (stock standard or minimal modifications)

High Performance Cefiro (ie RB25DET + Basics) $10'000 - $17'000 (even over Eastern States)

Borneo's old Cefiro, $30'000

^^^^

As much as I don't like Nick, based on the small number of experiences I've had with him, I would call his prices on both parts, and cars "average/competitive".

Not really.....Borneo's old Cefiro sold with such a high price tag, purely for title.

Buy a Cefiro, 10k

strip it out, $free, make cash back on parts

Build RB30DET, $5-7k ?

Other mods, suspension, brakes, etc, $10k?

That's still not a straight chassis, half the panels weren't straight.

It's registerable, but barely, the amount of cash you'd have to poor in, and parts you'd have to pull out.....you'd be far better off just buying a shitter and building it up yourself.

dry sump set-up isn't cheap, nor is quality coilovers, diff, quality turbo set-up, intake & exhaust manifolds, injectors etc etc. 5-7k would hardly cover the short motor in trewhellas RB.

But i can't imagine the shell would have been in very good condition.

A cefiro for 10k gets you coilovers on the rag, a sloppy 2 way, china camber arms, toe arms etc half arsed manual conversion... etc etc etc etc............

Cefiro's simply are not a loved car, for every person that loves theirs', there is 20 people that hammer theirs.

I looked at a cefiro a few months ago that looked absolutely mint, with a poultry price tag to boot... thankfully i have some idea what to look for, turned out the it had some form of front end smash and had the rail jammed into the firewall.. pretty sure this car is back on ebay but being sold by a different owner, and with the price twice what was previously being asked.

Goodluck buddy, you'll need it!

Half of that was paid for by sponsors.....Borneo of all people actuall ran K-Sport coilovers. Alot of other shit, like intake, exhaust, etc was done by the man himself. You can put a price on that, but I'd say well over $100'000 was thrown at that car over the years. Start from scratch, and build to purpose. A Cefiro with a basic RB30DET with mods can be had for WELL under the price tag on Borneo's 700+ HP Cefiro, and there is no way Keith's mate is going to NEED that kind of power setup on a street registered car.

Is the Cefiro you mention the one on eBay right now ? gunmetal gray, Uras kit, Black Drifteks....?

Edited by Nic_A31

Yes it was well over done, given that it was one of the most expensive cars in the DA field and very rarely placed well.

Yep the one on ebay now. could be wrong, but its same colour, has teins, Uras kit etc etc etc just as it did when it was previously for sale.

    • Ironically the GTT was quite reliable in the 7 years of ownership. From memory I've only had to replace a radiator and coilpacks out of inconvenience
    • Yes I can see how that would put you off HFM, especially with the price of good quality brake fluid. From what I understand it as you say the BM50 is the standard BMC for a R32 GTR, I must admit I would like to go far a Genuine Nissan BM57, but lack of cash prevents that at present. With the price being so close between the genuine BM50 and BM57 a BM57 New it seems a better choice as you gain that 1/16 bore size with the BM57, I would be interested in how much difference you feel with the BM57 fitted. I am going to take SteveL's advice in the short term and see how much actually comes out of that proportioning valve vent and save up for the Genuine Nissan part. Thanks for clarifying the HFM failure
    • Thanks mate. I just got the post inspection 1/2 done from state roads when the starter motor packed up, either that or the car alarm system is having trouble.  OEM part number 23300-AA112.
    • Hi, I though I was coming to an end in finding a replacement starter motor for a rb25de neo. I came across a starter motor from Taarks and a message below stating: Direct fit. 11 Tooth count. All below part numbers have been superseded to 11 teeth. Can some body shed some light on going from 8 teeth to 11 teeth apart from 36-month / 25,000 km warranty for passenger vehicles to 12 Month Warranty. Compatible with the following Nissan part numbers: 23300-20P00 23300-20P01 23300-20P05 23300-20P10 23300-20P11 23300-AA111 23300-AA112 23300-AA300 23300-08U10 23300-08U11 23300-08U15
    • Low battery? Maybe check capacity? I know first-hand, on BMWs if your battery drops below 80% capacity, it starts causing strange issues.
