I am selling my 1996 R33 Series II GTR genuine V-Spec with all the goodies like active LSD, rear differential cooler, ATESA-Pro etc..

Genuine reason for selling - I've got a baby girl and need a family 'friendly' car. I will be sad to see it go. I've just spent over $10,000 on rebuilding the bottom end and upgrading the turbos, so I would prefer to keep it. It is modified exactly to what I want and requires nothing else, anyone who buys this will be happy with the package.

Modifications:

  1. HKS stainless-steel pods
  2. twin (Z32) 80mm AFM’s
  3. GT2860-5 brand new turbos less than 50km
  4. Apexi AVC-R
  5. Apexi Power FC with in cabin controller
  6. silicon hoses
  7. Sard 800cc injectors
  8. Spitfire coil pack
  9. NISMO in tank fuel pump
  10. JE forged internals
  11. Oversized valves
  12. Oil orifice.
  13. Custom plumback oil feed from head to sump
  14. NITTO oil pump (forged internals) much better than N1oil pump
  15. custom oil catch can
  16. N1 water pump
  17. Hi-Octane (extended) racing baffled sump + new rebuilt bottom end with race bearings (less than 500km)
  18. Tomie PonCams
  19. Gates racing timing belt
  20. HKS Duralumin adjustable pulley gears
  21. Trust clear pulley gear cover
  22. Light weight alloy flywheel
  23. Remote oil relocation with (800Hp) front mount oil cooler
  24. HKS dump pipes with separate wastegate pipe
  25. 2 TurboSmart BOV’s
  26. mandrel bent high flow exhaust
  27. HKS Super Dragger muffler
  28. Excedy twin plate clutch
  29. HKS Pro in cabin torque splitter – dial in time delay and split from 50/50 to all rear.
  30. series 3 getrag box
  31. Rays Prodrive GC-060 forged monoblock rims – these were imported from the USA, I’ve not seen another Skyline with them.
  32. Bilstein coilovers suspension package
  33. Adjustable camber arms
  34. EBA Kevlar Red Stuff onto DBA slotted rotors
  35. HICAS locked for stability at speed
  36. Carbon fibre hood
  37. Carbon fibre adjustable rear wing
  38. New front lip
  39. NISMO 320Km white cluster
  40. Colour coded torque, boost & oil temp centre gauges
  41. A-pillar mounted smoked faced boost & air-fuel ratio gauges back up the info.
  42. Shift light
  43. Micro turbo timer
  44. New battery – 3 months old
  45. Sony MEX-DV1000 DVD/MP3/CD player – tft screen
  46. Oz audio front of house and pioneers bringing up the rear – professionally tuned for SQL.
  47. 2 Clarion (350W RMS) amps & JBL torpedo twin 10” (320W) sub in the boot.

There may be somethings I've forgotten to add to the mods, but these are the main ones.

On the last set up this made 347Kw at all 4 – about 465hp… + 626Nm torque on safe tune. The greatest restriction was the turbos. Now with the new (less than 100Km) twin Disco Potatoes (GT2860-5) it has the potential to make much more! It is still being run in, so I am just running a low boost at the moment.

interesting car, just curious what rods your running as i couldnt see in the parts list and also is it a 5 speed box or 6 speed as there were no 5 speed getrag boxes in the s3, they only started in the 34 and are 6 speed.

cheers adam

Tim sorry to see you selling your pride and joy. I can say I've seen it in person and it is down right tough sounding car.

Good luck with the sale.

Yeah Eric me too. I plan to get another GTR later.

Nice car mate...quite interested...where are you located?

Cheers, George

Car is currently at Jervis Bay - about 1hr South of Wollongong. I may be able to get it closer to Sydney if someone is really interested and has trouble getting to me.

This gtr is an absolute beast, goes like a rocket and has the best sound i have ever heard.Gl with the sale Tim. :(

Thanks Genelle - sell the green machine and buy my GTR, I would like to see it every so often driving around. Also if it went to you I could rest assured it would be looked after and driven the way it's ment to be driven.

this car is awesome seen it in person at shows and cruises, DOSV you should put a baby seat in it like i did, you daughter will love how bumpy the coilovers are lol

lol - yeah did that for a bit. Still do when required. But it's all the baby bits that come along with wanting to go out, and it would be good to get the baby and dog into the one car and neither the GTR or the Pulsar are any help to me ATM.

Here's some more pix, of the drivers side which will give you some indication of the condition. I'll get some better ones of the interior and rear too. don't seem to have any...

PRICE DROP 30K

Got a few other pics from different angles... will take some interior ones too sometime - but interior is clean, no cig burns - I've never smoked in it... Also got fire extinguisher in cabin.

Just got a new tune since the GT2860-5's were put on - made easy 360KW with more if needed.

30K neg.

took some interior shots the other day...

No cig burns on seats, no rips or tears on seats, geniune GTR mats, AVC-R boost controller + A-pillar mounted smoke faced gauges are clearly visible when driving (no need to look down at gages mounted below eye height), PFC hand controller + baby turbo timer can also be seen from these shots, 240v inverter for playstation/xbox in passenger floor (this can be stowed in glove box to comply with CAMS safety regs), installed all new speakers and TFT screen 6 months ago, fire extinguish complies with CAMS safety regs.

I appreciate the offer.

I still haven't found a Prado I am really interested in as yet. There's many out there but not with the specs in the price range I am after. So yeah, post up the info on your XR6. :P

    • Input shaft bearing. They all do it. There is always rollover noise in Nissan boxes - particularly the big box. Don't worry about it unless it gets really growly.
    • For once a good news  It needed to be adjusted by that one nut and it is ok  At least something was easy But thank you very much for help. But a small issue is now(gearbox) that when the car is stationary you can hear "clinking" from gearbox so some of the bearing is 100% not that happy... It goes away once you push clutch so it is 100% gearbox. Just if you know...what that bearing could be? It sounding like "spun bearing" but it is louder.
    • Yeah, that's fine**. But the numbers you came up with are just wrong. Try it for yourself. Put in any voltage from the possible range and see what result you get. You get nonsense. ** When I say "fine", I mean, it's still shit. The very simple linear formula (slope & intercept) is shit for a sensor with a non-linear response. This is the curve, from your data above. Look at the CURVE! It's only really linear between about 30 and 90 °C. And if you used only that range to define a curve, it would be great. But you would go more and more wrong as you went to higher temps. And that is why the slope & intercept found when you use 50 and 150 as the end points is so bad halfway between those points. The real curve is a long way below the linear curve which just zips straight between the end points, like this one. You could probably use the same slope and a lower intercept, to move that straight line down, and spread the error out. But you would 5-10°C off in a lot of places. You'd need to say what temperature range you really wanted to be most right - say, 100 to 130, and plop the line closest to teh real curve in that region, which would make it quite wrong down at the lower temperatures. Let me just say that HPTuners are not being realistic in only allowing for a simple linear curve.
    • I feel I should re-iterate. The above picture is the only option available in the software and the blurb from HP Tuners I quoted earlier is the only way to add data to it and that's the description they offer as to how to figure it out. The only fields available is the blank box after (Input/ ) and the box right before = Output. Those are the only numbers that can be entered.
    • No, your formula is arse backwards. Mine is totally different to yours, and is the one I said was bang on at 50 and 150. I'll put your data into Excel (actually it already is, chart it and fit a linear fit to it, aiming to make it evenly wrong across the whole span. But not now. Other things to do first.
