Hi Fellas,

Its that sad time where I'm in an unavoidable situation where I need to let the car go. Im Starting a family and the skyline just isnt big enough or comfortable enough anymore.

History: Have had the car since December 2003, did the RB26dett conversion in late 2008(July/ August). The car has done a total of 114,000kms and roughly 25,000kms after the conversion/ rebuild.

Location: Melbourne

Contact No: 0488500845

Engine Mods:

The RB26 was bought from another R33 GTR and stripped.

- Head was Surfaced, pressure tested, hardness tested, vacuum tested with all 24 valve stems seals replaced, exhaust valve (12) replaces and 12 exhaust guides put in, synchro seals replaced as well.

- Hks step1 adjustable cams with 256 8.7 lift & exhaust (Cams have bee dialled in)

- ACL Metal head gasket

- ARP head studs

- Block sleeves

-ACL Forged pistons(std size) and rings

- Eagle conrods

-ACL bottom end bearings

- Machines crank

-Genuine Nissan Main studs

-N1 oil pump

-Machines & horned block, also torque plated

The rest of the aftermarket parts on the car include

- BC Adjustable coil overs with 32 damper adjustment settings

- DBA4000 slottered rotors with plenty of meat on it

- Kakimoto Cat back stainless steel aftermarket exhaust

-XFlow highflow car

-3 inch front pipes to the CAT

-18inch SportMaxx rims with 235/40/18 tyres with plenty of thread

-Monza Racing front seats

-exedy cusion button clutch 3000kms old

-R33 GTR Standard BOV Piping

-R33 GTR Intercooler

-R33 GTR Engine and Chassic loom

-R33 GTT Gearbox

-R34 GTT TailShaft

-R33 Standard turbos running at 12psi

The conversion alone cost me $16,000 and Ive got receipts for it.

Engine compression on all 6 cylinders tested 2 weeks ago when it went in for a service which is every 5000kms or 3 months is

Cylinder 1 - 170

Cylinder 2 - 172

Cylinder 3 - 169

Cylinder 4 - 170

Cylinder 5 - 171

Cylinder 6 - 170

The car has couple of stone chips on the front bumper, the front doors have 2 scratches on them and the right rear quarter panel has a scratch. The rear demister for some reason hasnt worked after the conversion along with the reverse lights which are not connected. The tacho on odd occassions jumps around but other than that there is nothing else to do.

I have not finished the engineers certificate since I havent had the time but it needs R33 GTR Brembos and an R33 brake booster for it to pass the engineers

The chassic has not been tampered with in anyway during the conversion(eg. drilling of holes to get piping through) and I made sure of that.

As you can tell from the above I build this car on the pure basis to keep it for the long run and only for peformance hence why its an awesome sleeper.

Currently I have advertised the car on carsales and heres the link: http://www.carsales.com.au/used-cars/priva...6&D=9160486

I have advertised the car on car sales at $12000ono.

In saying that throw me offers and you might be surprised since i need to get this moving, espically if you can take it off me this week

LASTLY: No Dreamers please, if you dont have the cash dont bother wasting my time. I dont mean to be rude but it needs to be said.

    • I can see between the water jacket and cyl 3 there wasn't a hard line of combustion gas. It certainly appears that the issue is coming from there. Yes, checked the tension. All at 100ft lbs where I set them 5 years ago. These blocks can crack but generally when they have been over bored. Mine is only 0.5mm oversize at 89.5mm. They break between cylinders around the 91mm mark. No sign of that with mine. My gut feeling is the head gasket lifted a while back when the studs stretched and i bandaided it by retorquing the studs. It's finally let go.
    • My Nismo 1.5 churps a bit on reverse turns when cold, but besides that feels like a stock diff.
    • Yes, but, I paid cash and I'm pretty sure the receipt was in the bin 10 minutes after I got home Note to self, keep all receipts
    • Bunnings would have just handed you your money back on that one!
    • So, version 4 intake is on its way I was looking at these a while ago but at around $200 or more it was a little pricey for something that might not work, but, I had it in my watch list, but, I got a message saying it was on special, and I had a code thingie to use, it eventually came in at $120 delivered, so BAM, BUY NOW.....LOL I'll need to have a look when it arrives but I feel it will "look" better than what I currently have, as it comes with a PCV fitting, so I will be able to get rid of the alloy pipe that goes to the throttle body with the PCV fitting  Well, that's what the voices in my head are telling me  Oh, and this happened today Yeap, it was a Trojan, and it was cheap, so I headed back to the hardware store and actually spent a little bit more on a heavy duty,  one that was actually recommended by a plumber mate, a Cyclone one with a fibreglass handle that is actually rated for clay The broken shovel will eventually be "modified" into a short handle shovel
