gwin
So I pulled off my cat today and realised that the last person, welded in the oxygen sensor, AND it wasn't plugged in?... Either he had a full aftermarket ECU setup, or he did something to it?? The cars been running fine, but... doesn't it need it??! GTS-t VSPEC
Nope, car doesn't need O2 Sensor, it does however allow closed loop control, so with it in you can tend to get better fuel economy. paulr33
the 02 sensor is on the dump pipe on BNR32, 1 sensor per dump pipe on the car there is another sensor, exhaust temp sensor, which is not really needed and your car will work fine with it unplugged or removed it throws on the cat temp light on the dash when cat temp is too high Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/336386-wtf-oxygen-sensor-not-hooked-up/#findComment-5441260 Share on other sites

I pulled everything off and realised the cat doesnt have threads, so I need exhaust bolts.... this is when a second car comes in handy... had to put everything back in again.
