Hey guys,

I've recently just had to regap my current plugs in my rb25det to the .8mm mark to fix a misfiring problem I had because of air flow upgrades which has completely fixed the problem for now. However, I am thinking that I will be purchasing some NGK BKR5EIX-11 sparkies to fully replace these. Will I still need to regap these plugs down as well or not because of the better performance of them?

Cheers,

Dallas

The gap should go down as the boost level comes up, to a point.

Mine runs best at .8 @ 14lb, use to breakdown a far bit at .11 @ 14lb high rpm.

+1 for copper plugs, just change them at every service, cheap/easy and you always have a good plug, dont believe the hype for the plugs that they say last for 100,000k, they are good for the first 5,000 then average from then on.

There is a good thread in here about plugs, all about heat range and gap size.

You want BCPR6ES - the BKR plugs are slightly shorter or longer by approx 2mm (cant remember exactly)

The BCPR6ES are gapped to 0.8mm they are copper, they are cheaper and they work just the same.

If you really want to you can deposit the money I just saved you into my account.

Read the spark plug thread - all of it.

    • Hey. Very valuable information about pitwork, I will pay attention when buying any consumable parts 🙏 As for the carpets - I got a handful of information from nengun, from which it appears that indeed the carpets for the driver's side are OEM. They are not able to show me any pictures due to the long chain of different sales entities but after I place the order, as soon as the goods arrive at the nengun warehouse from which they will send the shipment to me they can send me photos and if my purchase differs from OEM I can immediately return it / cancel the purchase. I think I will give it a try 😉. Of course i'll let you know what's what as soon as i get them P.s. I know the topic is not relevant to the thread, but both nengun and amayama have these SICK 😍 trunk room lamps available. Do you know anyone who ordered them? I need to have one in my car
