they dont match up wit skylines. skylines are bigger and feel better to drive.

engine wise im not to sure but skylines have a very good quality rb in it :D

gti-rs are called mini godzillaz, "mini" so u know u cant fit ppl in the back and barely have any room for anything,

a stock GTi-R would completely RIP a GTS-T off the line..

mainly because of power to weight...

sure.. because of that, you pay for interior space... but with slight mods.. you can get power...

and also.. its 4wd.. so u get more traction :D

we imported a GTi-R Dakar. We didnt even know it was one until the boss went to japan and had a look at it. Didnt cost him much and he loves it. If u'r a true fan of speed then this is the one but the normal GTi-Rs are better in my eyes as they have power windows and all the good stuff the Dakar has now power options at all. But does have a stock roll cage.

The back isnt to bad in a gtir. Not alot worse than a 2 door skyline anyway and they have heaps and heaps of room when u fold the back seats down. My friend who has one carts around half his band equipment in his and i can hardly fit a suitcase in my r33 so i dont know how you can say they dont have room for anything.

Witha GTiR try to get a late moded. 93-94 and look for one that seems to have legit low k's. A gtir that has had a hard life or 3 extra years of a hard life (they have all had hard lifes) can be alot or trouble and the extra 3 years of wear will show. As always though you get what you pay for.

try get 4 ppl around town in one of them.. :( you will notice wat i mean.. at least not as bad in the back of a supra tho

but honestly... if you buy one of those cars, putting people in the back isnt exactly your biggest concern..

cars with 2 doors were built to suit 2 people, even though they have seats in the back... it aint fun being in there..

the best thing to do it just rip out the seats and put in a couple of subbies :D

another Hurdle at the moment is trying to get a plate if you were wanting to import you'r self. We had 10 plates reserved but we have used them all now. The 2 guys wh can comply them have sold out of there plates already. Will have to wait until nealy then end of this year till 1 plate is availbe.

lasttemptation: gtst feels better to drive than a gtir? are you smoking crack?

If he is then im smoking too,

I agree,

I dont think NISSAN intended for the GTiR to be a revelation in power or speed but rather a cheap, reliable and performance orientated vehicle for anyone.

They are ok, i dont understand why theres been 10 threads on 'whats the best gtir' 'how fast is a stock gtir' 'how much .. etc etc in the last few weeks tho

they have more power than 180s and silvias because they got quad throttle bodies

overall they are a good base, the SR20DET is a great engine

but at the end of the day, some say a car is an extension of your manlyhood

and a hatchback just dont cut it for me

If i bought one, ide make it a full track car and not register etc

    • We have a huge update coming in the next few months, version 5 of Invision will be released. I'm holding off any changes until after this change as I'm not sure what features will be removed or introduced.
    • Yeah, plenty of air flow, there is a dedicated path that feeds the air in to the OEM intake tube behind the bumper As for a "tangible effect", maybe, but getting the pod/intake air out of the hot engine bay is worth it psychologically to me, even if it gives no performance difference, so the tangible effect in my Lizard brain saysss yessss  In the end, to me a tangible effect isn't always about performance, sometimes it a sound or a look, or even a...... feeling  Ooga-Chaka Ooga-Ooga Ooga-Chaka Ooga-Ooga Ooga-Chaka Ooga-Ooga Ooga-Chaka Ooga-Ooga
    • yeah first and reverse is where you will find clutch release issues (whether hydraulic or mechanical) because the difference in revs required is the highest there; particularly changing down from 2nd to 1st when still moving. To be clearer though, it is possible that the clutch release bearing is the wrong height. This is less likely than a hydraulic issue but it is not unheard of when you are mixing and matching

    • Hi all, Restoring r33 series 1 rb25det. All the heater hoses were on their way out, have replaced them and put it all back together. After testing I noticed a small leak from behind the head on the actual metal water line to the turbo when cars warm. I tried running a longer hose over it but it kept leaking...   I am about to take the (stock) manifold off again😔 to change the water line does any one have any lines they recommend? I was looking at Aeroflow Turbo Oil & Water Line Set but not sure what everyone else recommends. Car is completely stock but want to upgrade turbo eventually. it looks like ill have to disconnect a lot just to replace these lines so if there's anything else recommended to do please let me know. Thank you in advance!
