serious!!??

everyone raves about him, thought they are suppose to be good?

He must have a warranty on his work?

I will tell you who doesnt rave about him....THIS GUY *points at self* and i wouldnt hold out hope of the warranty sticking either.

warrentee is sticking at this stage, even though i bought it 2.5yrs ago. it sat on the shelf as i had some personal issues that stoped me from moving forward with my 25-30build.

im not blaming anyone at this stage, i have been completly happy with the workshop that did my engine install ect. and i was on the phone to jim (for a long time) and i was explaining to him that i just want to know "why" this has happened and what caused it, his clutchs are the best, no doubts, ifs or buts. However mine failed, for all we know the front seal on the gearbox (which i hope was replaced) leaked and put oil on the clutch, in turn no matter what clutch i had in there would of been slipping.

I'll post photo's when i get it out of the car...

anyway, comment in my build thread, not in here lol :P

yeh got it, interesting read, without much of a conclusion....

mine will be out monday to see what happend, in my frustration of the clutch dieing i bought another car... lol. *facepalm*

hope to have it back in a week. ill be posting pics of the clutch ect on my build thread for you to see.

anyways, back on topic :whistling:

Don't think anyone went last week. I had to bail on it with uni assignments piling up. There is a southside meet this week which should have a fair few cars attending. I was thinking if anyone else is interested maybe we can go for a cruise to that meet? We can go out the back way avoid the majority of highways and enjoy some mountain roads then hit up the southside meet grab a feed and head home. Anyone else keen?

I don't think this has run for awhile. I've been busy with work and going up to the Southside meet every fortnight. Not sure if anyone has carried this on most likely it has just died. I'm moving to Brisbane next week so I won't be attending any more.

Yeah it died haha,

Have you finished your degree?

I just finished my last exams, hopefully if it all went well then I'll finally be graduating!

If I get the Goldy meet going again and you're still going to the southside meet then we should organise a meet halfway next year or something similar?

Hopefully CJ will have his 32 up and running again by then!

    • A few small updates since the previous post and lessons. I decided to do a little interior light upgrade on the 110. I quite like the iilumo items, even if they're a bit of a premium over other brands. You'll also note the Stedi Fogs, that will go into the S15 fog lights as I needed to match the bulbs since I got the new ones earlier. I hope they fit as the body is quite a bit longer than your normal bulb.  Annoyingly, I managed to trip the fuse, which normally wouldn't be an issue until I located the fuse. I can't say I've ever come across this. I had lucked out that someone nearby had a spare, but oddly enough Toyota dealerships seem to keep this in stock. I ordered some to keep in my stash and as luck would have it, someone else nearby tripped the same fuse so I passed on the favour.  I also did a little service on the 110 ahead of some additional work coming up. It's been annoying that Goleby's stopped carrying this particular HKS filter for the 110, so now I need to keep them on order from Japan. I also took the opportunity to install a bash plate and number plate riser. The plate riser is such a cheap but nice fix to help really tidy up the car. I'm tempted to now also replace my headlights, on this car. Both items were from Project Aero.    I also needed to replace the rear tyres on the 110, and after trying to get it aligned learnt that I need to replace some bushes in the front end, so that's next.  Closing out this update with a nicer picture as always!
    • Yeah mate, never miss it.
    • Any going to watch World Time Attack at SMSP this year?
    • Appreciate the correction on the "ground", that will make a huge difference to looking at this. That makes complete sense about AF70/AF71 which is what I had come down to being the issue, one of these. I'll have another look in the ignition wiring when I get a chance next week. I'll also make up a jumper wire for running that AF73 test.  ECU is fine, relay itself is fine, pump harness is fine and the pump itself is fine. I am going to upgrade the Walbro 255 anyway with a DW300 I have since I need to replace the fuel sender and I'm going to upgrade the FPR with my chasebays kit ready for new plenum/injectors/dbw, but I'll get this working first. That's why this is so frustrating.
