Ok, so i wanna remove the boost controller, as the display is f***ed and renders it useless so i wanna axe it...

Im trying to get my hands on a standard Boost solenoid for R32 GTR but in the mean time...

Can i run the GTR safely using Standard GTR Turbo wastegate actuators???

What psi rating are they???

Also where the Boost controller solenoid has "in" i figure thats where it intercepts and regulates the boost pressure to the desired boost level before releasing pressure to "out" side of solenoid then on to wastegate actuators...

So basically if i just put straight pipe in place of boost solenoid it will run only standard wastegare actuator pressure yes...

Just wanna clarify before i go down this path.

Also i found a third vacuum hose near the boost controller solenoid in similar size but it has a bolt stopping the vacuum. please can someone confirm that this hose is the BOV Vaccum hose???

BOV's are on the drivers side,

the boost controller should be near the turbo's somewhere, so the vacuum line is not from the boost controller to the BOV's, but the boost controller should have its source from the throttle bodys so it reads VAC aswell as boost,

Just remove the boost controller and run the pressure line sourced from the inlet manifold to the stock actuators, when you do a road test do a couple of light runs in 3rd or 4th gear and monitor the boost levels, it shouldnt go above 10ish psi, if it keeps rising recheck your hose going to the actuators as it might be the wrong one,

line comes from plenum to solenoid from solenoid to actuator...

Third line i think is bov vacuum

The thing about boost controllers is they can't use the factory manifold source as is it is already bled, always have to blank that source off and run a new hose from another (non-bled) source on the plenum. If you use the factory boost solenoid with the EBC's manifold source, you will only see 10psi (actuator pressure), not the full 14.7psi you would see with the restrictor removed and using that hose that was connected to the bled source.

So here can i find a goid non-bled source for manifold pressure???

Havent done much tinkling with rb26s

saying that i can go from plenum straight to t-piece then to wastegate actuator and itll be safe???

What would be the standard stock boost PSI for a R33 GTR?

I'm thinking of disconnecting my boost controller and putting it back on the factory solenoid. Whoever installed the blitz boost controller was kind enough to leave the factory solenoid intact and mounted the blitz solenoid next to it.

I have a motor just out of a stock as a rock r32 half cut so i got to transfer my blitz ebc hoses onto it and this is how its piped up.

the hose that has the restrictor near the boost solenoid connects to the hard pipe that goes around the back of the head that feeds both actuators this hardpipe has a welded tee connected to a hose that goes to the bottom of the inlet plenum opposite number 6 inlet this hose also has a yellow band with you guessed it a restrictor. THe second hose at the solenoid connects to a second hardpipe that goes around the back of the head and connects to the bov recirc balance pipe between the turbo inlets so basically this is where the boost pressure bleeds back to.

On my existing motor the tee under the plenum is blanked off and its plenum connection has a hose that goes to the ebc motor the second ebc motor hose connects to the hard pipe to the actuators and the second hard pipe is blanked off under the plenum so this setup does not bleed back to the turbo inlet.

The hose that goes to the bov's comes from the manifold under the plenum that has the aac valve on it.

Didnt know the second restrictor existed til now because my gtr always had the blitz ebc.

    • Newbie here, proud owner of an Autech 260RS. I'm on the hunt for wiring diagrams specific to the 260RS, particularly S1. I've ran my eyes through R33, R34 Diagrams, there are some similarities, however continue to find incorrect wire colours and pins on connectors in the 33,34 diagrams.   I was hoping someone could point me in the right direction? I'd be happy to pay for the originals in Japanese. I can translate them, at least they would be accurate.   Any help please would be greatly appreciated, never heard an RB26DETT before let alone driven one, and I've got a spaghetti monster of goodness to sort out.   Cheers Benny  
    • Hey all  im wondering if you can help me please I have put a rb20 box in my r34 gtt as my auto packed up and a friend had a spare box I know it’s not ideal but it will get me up and running for now. we have done the conversation and everything is working great but my Speedo we got a s13 speed sensor but my Speedo reads double now and I bought a speed converter but still not having any luck.  so I thought I’ll reach out and pick your brains  any help would be appreciated please as I wanna drive my car again 
    • Drain it. I got official Matic D but you can get whatever is listed as Matic D compatible.
    • Thanks guys,  Yeah I should at least have them dynoed, at least then I know what I've got as a starting point.  The springs on these are hard as rocks. I vaguely remember Russman saying he was going to sell the shocks to me with the rocks fitted, as he was keeping the softer springs for his new setup.  I didn't click at the time but of course that was to let me know the shock/spring wouldn't be matched.  I also remember pricing up new springs around 2014-15, but, house, money etc. it never happened. So that was another reason to have them rebuilt. I have rebuilt the forks on many motorcycles so I think I could handle the seals on these easily enough, but getting the valving right would be a rabbit hole I cbf exploring.  Duncan, interesting to hear RP was tuning these back then. I might give them a call.  In the mean time I have been busy fitting sway bars. The Whiteline rear sway bar I purchased 15 years ago finally got fitted, along with the Whiteline front bar that showed up last week. Just waiting on new links for the front sway bar to finish that off.  And my spare set of advan AVS VS5's should be back from the powder coaters in a Pearl White finish sometime this week, with a set of Hankook RS4's lined up for fitting.  And then I just have all the suspension bushes to do. A comprehensive kit is on the way... Lots to do before the Ararat hill climb. Cheers guys 🍻
