tire placard - jap label

Epic!

Think i remember seeing that 'unknown' one on the drivers side door jamb near the latch. could be wrong coffee hasn't set in yet.

I am going to look that one up. most of the cars I get do not have a full set of stickers. I am still missing well over half of mine.

still debating the GTS4 one though.(probably will do it though ) the nissan badge is a given. that is on a few cars so its readily available.

also since I have just done RRB20ASH (ashleigh smith) car I will do the door handles and locks as well. they come FACTORY color if you use the right paint code when you look the car up.

(I had to replace one of her's due to an attempted theft.)

got a few PMs over the unknown sticker as well. - thanks guys!!

Hi Chris' date='

Pretty sure your unknown label (60170-89902) goes under the bonnet.

It says the car's paint is laquer (or similar) and not to use any nasty chemicals on it or the lustre will be ruined.

My niece who is Jap. fluent, translated the one on the GTR for me.

Unfortunately some of this stuff doesn't translate too well.

Regards,

Greg

thanks!!!

Chris,

Here's some photos to show the placement of that placard.

Looks like I'm missing a larger square placard just a bit higher up.

Never even noticed that previously.

Regards,

Greg.

unknown sticker goes on the bonnet - left side underside.

thanks for the images!!!

Is the camp2 backwards compatible with OBD1? Or do you need a new harness?

from my research it is. it requires the consult cable as well.

asked a question yesterday regarding NEW door panels from nissan japan . I am starting to wonder if there is anything I cannot buy new for this car!

--

Chris,

The door panels are available with a 1 week delay. They cost (you) AUD 687.14 a piece not including shipping though. Seems a heck of a lot for door trims. They have the speaker cover included.

I *may* do this. depends if I can find decent ones or not.

started designing the video switching ckt for the screen today. turns out fairchild have a 8pin IC for it that does 3:1 multiplexing. (FSA3357 for those technically minded.) with a bit more circuitry I can switch between navi and camera at the push of a button and have the reverse camera over ride the lot on demand.

I will post up the schematic if anyone is interested :)

Kinks,

think I worked it out. flip flop will do it IF I set it up correctly. debouncing the switch (internal resistance is 30 ohms due to it being a carbon switch) is going to be the only issue I can see. I hope pulling the switch up to VSS will sort the issue.the other option is the PIC the thing. two inputs counting $01-$03 based on input status.

found this:

http://drmarty.blogspot.com/2009/05/best-switch-debounce-routine-ever.html

and if I write that into a 12F675 with a bit more code it would work as well

yepp righdo, whatever you say mate thumbsup.gif

lol!

whilst most are tossing japanese engine brands around I am designing tweaks for the car. kinda retro in a way. old car bunch or new things hidden in it. I have already sourced the navi unit out of adelaide for it so that will be my video source for testing the screen/electronics.

    • A few small updates since the previous post and lessons. I decided to do a little interior light upgrade on the 110. I quite like the iilumo items, even if they're a bit of a premium over other brands. You'll also note the Stedi Fogs, that will go into the S15 fog lights as I needed to match the bulbs since I got the new ones earlier. I hope they fit as the body is quite a bit longer than your normal bulb.  Annoyingly, I managed to trip the fuse, which normally wouldn't be an issue until I located the fuse. I can't say I've ever come across this. I had lucked out that someone nearby had a spare, but oddly enough Toyota dealerships seem to keep this in stock. I ordered some to keep in my stash and as luck would have it, someone else nearby tripped the same fuse so I passed on the favour.  I also did a little service on the 110 ahead of some additional work coming up. It's been annoying that Goleby's stopped carrying this particular HKS filter for the 110, so now I need to keep them on order from Japan. I also took the opportunity to install a bash plate and number plate riser. The plate riser is such a cheap but nice fix to help really tidy up the car. I'm tempted to now also replace my headlights, on this car. Both items were from Project Aero.    I also needed to replace the rear tyres on the 110, and after trying to get it aligned learnt that I need to replace some bushes in the front end, so that's next.  Closing out this update with a nicer picture as always!
    • Yeah mate, never miss it.
    • Any going to watch World Time Attack at SMSP this year?
    • Appreciate the correction on the "ground", that will make a huge difference to looking at this. That makes complete sense about AF70/AF71 which is what I had come down to being the issue, one of these. I'll have another look in the ignition wiring when I get a chance next week. I'll also make up a jumper wire for running that AF73 test.  ECU is fine, relay itself is fine, pump harness is fine and the pump itself is fine. I am going to upgrade the Walbro 255 anyway with a DW300 I have since I need to replace the fuel sender and I'm going to upgrade the FPR with my chasebays kit ready for new plenum/injectors/dbw, but I'll get this working first. That's why this is so frustrating.
