I'm well aware that the guy looking for cars is a self-righteous twat. But, I thought there may be a possibility of hijacking some thread time here..!

Anywhoo, i've posted a thread in the general discussion area.. but, basically I'm looking for a formal car. And no.. i'm not interested in a 35 GTR :ermm:

You all have pretty dang hotted up cars.. so I couldn't care less what type it is. If it makes a relatively loud noise and looks good, I'm in!

Just throwing it out there! :)

I like that OP is still crying. And still wrong. And still doesn't have a car to take him and his boyfriend to the formal.

Epic end to the day.

Anywhoo.. my formal car offer is actually serious! If you don't wish to take me in your awesome cars.. then I'll have no option but to take the sexa.. you wouldn't want that.. would you?

for one i drive a Skyline R34

for two im am Australian through and through

for three you all (just to keep the people that are windging about u's) have way to much time on ur hands if u can sit here and pick on every little grammar mistake that is written which shows 'you all' obviously dont have lives and a job that is half decent anyway so just because u wish u did better in life dont take it out on me thanks

again all im here for is to see if anyone has a GT-R that could possibly take me to formal in

for all u others that have no life please keep ur complaining to urselves

Mate, first of all I'm not standing on either side of the story, just giving you my so call "2 cents".

The reason why we seems to be so picky is not because we hate you nor you can't spell, trust me we have better things to do then to be picking on you. From our past experiences, people that have poor manners, lazy typing skills and up themselves behaviour are generally the people that doesn't care for other people properties.

We are giving you advice that, if you want a GTR owner to give you a ride to your formal (pay or free of charge) the least you can do is to ask in a manner that the owner will feel safe and/or confident to take you in. The car is our pride and joy, plus a R35 GTR is not exactly a cheap vehicle mate, why would they risk the chance???

Secondly, just because you have a R34 doesn't mean you are instantly a car enthuthiast. To this day, I still don't consider myself as a true car enthuthiast, I have many more hills to climb, endless of trial and errors, mistakes to experience etc... To me, he is the true car enthuthiast http://www.supraforums.com.au/forum/showth...m-the-Ground-Up.

To you maybe I'm just bullshiting, but do calm down and sit down to think about what we all "Dr." :P have said before giving us attitude again.

    • They are under bucket shims. Tomei provides a test shim kit and then any measurement of shim required.
    • I always wondered how you were supposed to buy a set of 24 buckets and somehow magically have every single one of them yield exactly the desired clearance. I would have thought you'd need to assemble a cam with either 12 "sample" or "example" buckets of known top thickness (or a single such sample/example 12 times over!!) measure clearances at every valve, and then do the usual math to work out what the actual "shimness" of each bucket needed to be, before buying the required buckets to make up he thicknesses that you didn't have on hand.
    • I now seem to be limited in power due to my rev limit/hydraulic lifters in my built RB25. I'm looking into converting over to Tomei solid lifters. Question for anyone that has done the conversion. I was always under the impression that when using the Tomei solid lifter conversion, you would also require new valves (Longer or shorter stems, I can't remember which).  I don't know where I got this idea, as so far I see no mention of this in any of the Tomei documentation. It just states I need the Tomei solid buckets, solid lifter cams and upgraded springs. As my head is already built, all I would need is another set of 1000$ Kelford cams, 500$ buckets and about 4H hours of my time installing and I'm off to the races!?!? There's no way it's that simple, I must be missing something?
