G'day.

I want to replace the downstream O2 sensor in my A31 Cefiro, factroy turbo.

When fitting my cat converter, I noticed the 2nd O2 sensor is different to the dump pipe one. It also has 4 wires and a different connector.

When lookin on the net I cant seem to find this downstream sensor for sale.

Has anyone come accross this before?

I would like a cheaper option as nissan want $220, and there is none in the country.

Thanks,

Matt

If it's a sensor that connects to the cat itself, most like an EGT sensor not an O2 sensor, just brings up a red light in your dash when the cat itself reaches i think 700 degrees c or more. Check the Bosch O2 sensor catalogue, I vagually recall both sensors you describe being in there for your application.

the sensor on the dump pipe is the 02 sensor used for closed loop fuel economy feedback

the sensor on the car is the cat overtemp sensor which is used to turn on the exhaust cat temp light on the dash (not required)
