Hey guys,

As the title says, I'm looking for a black stagea and a white stagea only for my wedding in March 2011.

Would like a few 'hands up' for the search, as I know circumstances change, so want to increase my chances of having the required cars ready on the day.

Wedding is some 4.5 months away yet, but time will fly given there's xmas and holidays in between now and then.

Already using my black stagea and a white 350 chev-powered HR holden.

:D

Nice one Ruby. Congrats. Beach weddings are great. I got hitched on the beach in Maui, Hawaii. :) Photos were awesome. All the best champ!

Getting closer to the wedding ... as far as preparation and the missus starting to panic goes. :P

Can I get a show of hands again from those with black or white Stags that can help out?

If your looking for a white m35 I can help you out if you dont mind a few advertising stickers on the windows

If you're still available as backup, I'll put you on the "oh shit, who can we use" list.

I could have my white one professionally cleaned a week prior and be a suited-up driver in my wedding suit, if it comes down to mine being required

brendan

may be able to help if you get stuck for cars

just got my car back from being fixed, fresh painted black S2.

can use ours if you want

Should be able to count me in

Hey guys,

Could you all kindly confirm that you'd be available from about 12 noon Sunday March 13th 2011 until about 4-5pm?

Depending on your availability, I'll select 1 black and 1 white stag for the wedding. Wedding is only 3 weeks away now. You'll be rewarded for your services too

Ruby

Mine's available for march 13, only thing is my car is terribly stock, but its white :)

-Shelly.

But it does have an awesome video audio set up.

You could watch funniest home videos (weddings) on the day.

If needed ill have my Black stag with 34 Front ready by then, that you could use.

Thanks for the offer Eric. i'll strongly keep that in mind, as the R34 front should look awesome.

Not ruling you out, only I've met the others on this forum and seen their cars many times, so I know exactly what they look like. If you're a definite, I'd like to meet up with you and your stag.

Can I lock you in as a definite then? Stock is fine ... as long as your audio setup can keep the wedding party entertained. :D

I'd need you and car available from 1pm thru to approx 6.30pm on Sunday 13th March, starting things off in the Woodville area (more specific details will be provided before the big day).

The drive (at this point in time) will be from Woodville South to West Beach (beach wedding) then to the city for photos, then to The Grand at the Bay thereafter.

    • I don't know it is due to that. It could just be due to load on track being more than a dyno. But it would be nice to rule it out. We're talking a fraction of a second of pulling ~1 degree of timing. So it's not a lot, but I'd rather it be 0... Thicker oil isn't really a "bandaid" if it's oil that is going to run at 125C, is it? It will be thicker at 100 and thus at 125, where the 40 weight may not be as thick as one may like for that use. I already have a big pump that has been ported. They (They in this instance being the guy that built my heads) port them so they flow more at lower RPM but have a bypass spring that I believe is ~70psi. I have seen 70psi of oil pressure up top in the past, before I knew I had this leak. I have a 25 row oil cooler that takes up all the space in the driver side guard. It is interesting that GM themselves recommend 0-30 oil for their Vette applications. Unless you take it to the track where the official word is to put 20-50w oil in there, then take that back out after your track day is done and return to 0-30.
    • Nice, looks great. Nice work getting the factory parts also. Never know when you'll need them.
    • Thanks @jtha7 I will have a look around tomorrow but it is a prick of a spot. These are some photos i tried taking
    • I take it that the knock retard is from bearings tapping a little tune? Thicker oil is a fragile bandaid. You need a much bigger oil cooler and probably the bigger pump being discussed.
    • Hi @Chupapy i had several leaks from coolant pipes being corroded, i also had one leak on back of the head onto transmission. For me that leak was from the turbo water line. Follow the line to the back of the head The hose and metal pipe had perished these are the best pics I took of it at the time
