Any Smooth Roads Around Newcastle?

G'day all,

I am from SA and have just recently purchased a GTR here. I was curious to know if there are ANY smooth flat "country" roads around the Newcastle area that i could cruise around on? The one's i have found thus far all need a 4x4 to drive down unless you would want to destroy any suspension set up.

I'm NOT intertested in hooning / speeding around as i don't know the area, nor the car, just sick of freeways and rough bitumen roads.

Any advice would be appreciated,

the old pacific highway is pretty fun, not sure if it's too far south though

I used to live in maitland and all the "country" type roads I can remember were in need of repair lol

that was 8 or so years ago tho

Shoulda moved closer to Sydney
