Pink Compliance Plate?

Hi All,

I'm enquiring about a car I'm interested in and the owner believes it has a pink coloured compliance plate.

I thought most were yellow? Can anyone shed light on what the different compliance plates that are out there?

I think the car was privately imported last year.

The car is currently registered in NSW.

pinkish is the coorect colour. yellow is for personal imports.

What's the difference between private and personal imports?

Aren't imports nowadays under SEVs?

pink is where the car was purcahsed at auction by a dealer/private buyer then brought in to this country

yellow - the person owned the car in japan for a peroid of time then brought it out here.
