I think you'll find the white gtr belongs to bunta. He's been up there all week with impact blue for a family wedding.

Sounds wicked doesnt it. :)

sure does was he the mechanic from up here?

yeah that was probably me, I was driving in and out of town doing wedding shit pretty much all Thursday, Friday and Saturday. Mine is the one with no wing and Work Xt7 wheels, there is another white one up there with a wing and work Kai's but it didnt see it this trip.

And sadly im not a mechanic :) lol

We will let you know next time we are up and will come along to the meet if you get it going! There is an older guy with a yellow R33 around the traps too but I have not seen it for a while, nice car and a really nice guy, he pulled us over one day to have a car chat! lol

yeah the old bloke got rid of his a little while ago now The car yard only gave him 3 grand saying there was no demand for them ( bull hey ) I own a white gtst r33 series 2 which has had a small bit of work done but is getting a some more done soon.

Managed to make it back to Kingas over Christmas, only to be confronted with the problem of not being able to get down the driveway. Parked at the neighbours shed, and then got flooded in so couldn't go anywhere for a few days. Got out and wanted to go for a spin only to find my car battery dead, the car covered in bird crap and grain and grain dust ...

While its nice to have a liberated right foot, the roads after the rain are a shocker out there. I did see a white s2 at the BP in Kingaroy, a red 32 twice just outside Kingaroy, and followed a white 32 with a black boot lid a fair way down the D'agular highway home to brisbane. And then the cops behind me the rest of the way.

I'll lay claim to that panda, I pulled over at woodford to look at the tank, was about to leave and saw you followed by mr plod decided to wait for a bit.

Nothing to worry about anyway. With the road conditions The whole convoy had to do about 60 the whole way.

Some of those potholes were monstrous.

Yeah man. I went the back way home (morayfield) roads are less used and abused.

    • There are black hose clamps as well if you care. Plazmaman for example sells some: https://plazmaman.com/product/black-hose-clamps-premium-quality-stainless-breeze/
    • After using a protractor for an actually accurate assessment of what is required,  and by NOT using my uncalibrated eyeball I worked out I need a 25° silicone bend from the TB ro the MAF, but, my choice was either a 30° or a 23° (23° is a weird spec), so I grabbed the 23° one from Raceworks I also grabbed 1mtr of 3" straight from Just Jap, I needed 350mm, but they only had 300mm, or 1mtr lengths....meh Also ordered a 1/2" hose bulkhead fitting from fleabay, this has a smoothish mushroom looking head (they are designed for below the water line of boats) that will fit inside the bend, the hose bit and threaded bit looks to long, but nothing that a hacksaw cannot fix if required, the hose will then just get jamed on the threaded bit up to the retaining nut Fingers crossed and the unsightly amount of hose clamps will be reduced down to 4 once all the parts arrive
    • Oil change does not trigger code 21. Code 21 is for coilpacks primary side connection. You can try to clear the code with a battery disconnect, hold down the brake pedal to drain capacitors through the brake lights with the ignition on for 10-15 seconds before you reconnect the battery. I have seen R35 coil conversion permanently cause this code with no ill effects so it might be the resistance it wants to see isn't quite right on one or more coilpacks. Could be inside the ECU, could be the harness, could be a coil. You can test it all if you want or just ignore until the car actually starts misfiring.
    • I forgot you have a Nistune ECU. Use Nistune to do all the tests I mentioned instead of faffing with 30+ year old electrical connectors. You can read MAF volts off that too, there are reference values in the service manual to tell you roughly what it should be in different conditions.
