As title says my 3F1 Quaife 6 speed dog box is going up for sale. Has straight cut gears and is H pattern. Is in awesome condition as it has been reconditioned in the last two weeks with genuine parts direct from Quaife in the UK. All internals have been inspected and has had worn parts replaced.

Parts recently replaced are all the d-tent parts in the shifter area to keep shifting smooth, new counter shaft 3rd gear, new main shaft 3rd gear, new counter shaft 4th gear, new strengthened input shaft with main 4th gear. This means the dogs on the gears are new also. New bearings also (which are worth heaps) The input shaft spline is the standard Nissan 25mm 24-tooth clutch spline, so no clutch modifications.

Transmission will come with tranfer case so it's ready to bolt in. Also has billet steel sandwich plate between transfer case and bellhousing to strengthen and stiffen transmission. Will suit R32 and R33 GTRs with push type clutch as the bellhousing on this transmission only has the push clutch slave cylinder mounting points. Can suit R34 GTR if push clutch and 4.11 diffs. All parts put in box was to bring it back to peak condition for sale. The reason for sale is I'm over 500kw at wheels now and am looking to go to a sequential to make the most of this car.

Have done 10's on this box before reconditioning and found it a pleasure to use. Will suit single turbo GTRs as the ratios really change a laggier (boost above 5000rpm) GTR compared to 5 speeds.

Will ship anywhere in Australia. Serious inquiries only please. Interested parties can contact Ben on 0401 779 905 for more information. Am possibly negotable on price to serious people only.

Will sell for a bargain price of $7800 delivered with an OS Giken R3C triple plate clutch + flywheel (worth over $3000 for the clutch)

Cheers for reading and will answer all PMs. Please note I am on holidays and won't be able to ship until the new year.

Clutch sold pending payment. Make an offer on the gearbox, I'm not giving it away though... (so no I won't take $6000 for it)

People asking about the gearset, it is not like a OS giken gearset which uses lots of existing Nissan parts. EVERYTHING inside the case from gears, shafts, selectors ect is manufactured by QUAIFE. The assemblies were over $11,000. (more like $14000 when released)

Cheers mate.

I'll be posting some photos up this week because I'm going to put the gearset back in the bellhousing on the weekend.

Looks like I was wrong about the serious buyers - nothing but bloody time wasters.

If you want a good, reliable dog box contact me.

I will take deposits and part payments but the price is the price, which I think is very fair.

    • A few small updates since the previous post and lessons. I decided to do a little interior light upgrade on the 110. I quite like the iilumo items, even if they're a bit of a premium over other brands. You'll also note the Stedi Fogs, that will go into the S15 fog lights as I needed to match the bulbs since I got the new ones earlier. I hope they fit as the body is quite a bit longer than your normal bulb.  Annoyingly, I managed to trip the fuse, which normally wouldn't be an issue until I located the fuse. I can't say I've ever come across this. I had lucked out that someone nearby had a spare, but oddly enough Toyota dealerships seem to keep this in stock. I ordered some to keep in my stash and as luck would have it, someone else nearby tripped the same fuse so I passed on the favour.  I also did a little service on the 110 ahead of some additional work coming up. It's been annoying that Goleby's stopped carrying this particular HKS filter for the 110, so now I need to keep them on order from Japan. I also took the opportunity to install a bash plate and number plate riser. The plate riser is such a cheap but nice fix to help really tidy up the car. I'm tempted to now also replace my headlights, on this car. Both items were from Project Aero.    I also needed to replace the rear tyres on the 110, and after trying to get it aligned learnt that I need to replace some bushes in the front end, so that's next.  Closing out this update with a nicer picture as always!
    • Yeah mate, never miss it.
    • Any going to watch World Time Attack at SMSP this year?
    • Appreciate the correction on the "ground", that will make a huge difference to looking at this. That makes complete sense about AF70/AF71 which is what I had come down to being the issue, one of these. I'll have another look in the ignition wiring when I get a chance next week. I'll also make up a jumper wire for running that AF73 test.  ECU is fine, relay itself is fine, pump harness is fine and the pump itself is fine. I am going to upgrade the Walbro 255 anyway with a DW300 I have since I need to replace the fuel sender and I'm going to upgrade the FPR with my chasebays kit ready for new plenum/injectors/dbw, but I'll get this working first. That's why this is so frustrating.
