Hi all, as anyone with a PS3 and Modern Warfare 2 may be aware, there is a problem withe the offline multi-player profiles, in which you'll play along for a few months and all-of-a-sudden, the PS3 decides it can't load your level 37 offline profile and you have to start again.

Simply put, I'm looking for some help form someone who has PERMANENTLY fixed this problem as i've tried the following to no avail:

1. The "fix" where you save the offline profile to a USB, delete all MW2 data from the PS3, update the system (went to version 3.50), then re-install it.

2. Deleting the "Game Data Utility"for MW2, re-loading the game data, and re-loading the profiles.

3. Resetting the system by holding the power button for 5-8 seconds (don't think this did anything really).

4. Swearing and stamping my feet.

5. Keeping no more than 2 offline profiles saved at one time.

6. Keeping other offline profiles saved, using one "good" profile, then loading the other before turning off the system.

Yes, I ensure the system gets shut-down correctly as this is apparently what causes the problem in the first place.

As above, the software is Version 3.50, which is meant to fix it.

No, I don't want to "get a life" and stop playing.

No, I don't want a f****** fail box 360.

No, my PS3 isn't connected directly to the internet, I use my computer for that.

Yes, the MW2 offline profiles are the ONLY problem I have, all other aspects of the game and PS3 are fine.

/Rant

Any help appreciated as I'm sick of watching You-Tube tutes' that don't work and trawling through page after of Google searches...

So they made a patch to fix this? Unless you can download the patch and load via. USB.. Then simply connect to the internet, download patch.. Then remove the PS3 from the net..

    • Cats are called Bella, and Donna...  Like that poisonous plant And I remember your 2 monsters, I remember making a little bit of wee when you let them out... LOL I have already installed cat doors into the laundry where their kitty litter is, and the sun room, apart from the cat doors there's not going to be any permanent mounted stuff on the interior walls (interior doors are cheap and easy to replace) I will get a outdoor cat cage thingie once I finish the landscaping out back... https://catnip.com.au/ The only off limit areas are the main bedroom and the gym room....but, currently the cats are curled up in bed, in the main bedroom with the Mrs.....LOL, the off limits for the kittens to the main bedroom lasted about 5 minutes with Jackie I currently only have 1 free standing huge cat tree multiple level scratching post thingie in the lounge room, but, I will be getting another one soon now that I'm happy with the furniture layout in the back room and have a perfect spot for it
    • All of this is making it seem clear that running the Coppermix twin was definitely the way to go, especially in hindsight with how insane tariffs have gotten and the strength of the USD vs yen at the time.
    • That sounds like no chance of even importing one for road registering then Now I see why Duncan wants to check LHD rules for Targa...   I wonder how "bolt in" the AWD would be if you got one imported from the US and swapped it to an AUD one
    • Not to mention they drive like a bucket of bolts! yuck!
