Great day!! The drive down was better then I expected, I was thinking with that many people that it was going to be a crawling pace down to the coast. We ended up going home (launceston) via derby and Scottsdale, had fish and chips at St Helens, perfect day for a cruise!!!

Well I don't think we could have asked for a better day for a cruise, amazing weather, amazing people and I got to be on TV! haha.

Today we collected a Total of $2230.50! Woot!

Thanks for all the donations guys! Will be handing it to rotary on Thursday!

hey man, PM details on how to make an 'after event' donation

Yesterday started out pretty stressfully, had my car in getting one of the wheels re-rolled since Tuesday and had checked on it the 3 days prior to the cruise, being told it would be ready the next day each time. Turned up on Saturday and it had probably been completed but left in the workshop, so ended up running around franticly to get a set of wheels from home and turning up late with near zero grip tyres on 300zx wheels on the front of my car and sticky new tyres on the back :P (only the smaller front wheels could pass as possibly being legal, otherwise I would have opted for less rear grip).

After that start I still had an epic day, beautiful weather and some awesome cars. Was surprised to only really be slowed down too much by a single tourist campervan that refused to pull over on the twisties, other than that it was clean sailing. Saw an old corona had been pulled by the cops, but everyone seemed to pretty much behave themselves (even had people just cruising with a few p platers at 80 for a while on the way back down the coast road to Hobart). I was able to stalkishly put a few faces to names from the cars people were driving too which was nice, though I've forgotten already...

What happened to the guy on the bike? I didn't hear anything about it?

Tarrant Hayes, the guy who had the bike accident, is safe in hospital and had some ops last night . Luckily, he has only come out of the crash with a broken femur. If anyone has any of his things, could you send him a message on Facebook. We wish him all the best for a quick recovery!

    • There's restrictor pills in the stock boost control hoses. That's how they set the amount that was bled off and hence the "high" boost setting. The usual mod in the day was to remove it and send the "high" boost setting up to about 14 psi.
    • Thanks Duncan, that's the best info I've read. Furthermore after learning about the PCM programming side controlling the factory boost solenoid, the purpose of the solenoid is to "bleed" boost when pin 25 is earthed, thus allowing spring pressure in the wastegate actuator to overcome diaphragm boost pressure, thus closing or reducing the position of the wastegate flap creating more boost as the turbo is able to spin faster. It's pretty cool to see a designated Pill to do exactly this, would have liked to have seen it with a tiny filter over the end for those moments in vacuum.  The constant bleed pill has now been removed completely from the system and solenoid boost control has been restored once again.   Case closed 😂
    • The wideband reading is meaningless if it's not running. Why are you using shitty old sidefeeds on any engine, let alone a Neo? What manifold and fuel rail are you using to achieve that? Beyond that, can't help you with AEM stuff as I've never been their ECU/CAS combo.
    • Manual boost controllers (where a little of the boost was bled off) were quite common back in the day, because they were cheap and easy. Generally they had a manual adjustment screw rather than being fixed like yours. Down side is they always bleed boost, not just when you want them to so an electronic boost controller that uses a solenoid will have less lag.
    • Hello , im new here and i have A31 home build  RB25det neo stock eng / turbo  aem ems 2 blue connector  aem 3.5 map aem cas disk aem wideband connected to ecu  355 lph pump 550 nismo yellow injectors side feed aftermarket regulator  and won’t start with base aem tuner basic tune eventually flipped cas 180 degree so it triggers on correct stroke not in exhaust cycle  Now it won’t start Wideband reads 10 and 11 at lowest fuel setting  and will share calibrations soon for aem tuner i think something is wrong in aem tuner    please if you have any information, am very grateful
