Bleeding My Clutch

hey guys just wondering how do i bleed my clutch? cos when it gets hot and the car has been running for a while the clutch feels like its not there it strange and its hard to put in gear do u think it needs a top up of fluid or does it need a bleed? and what fluid do i need?

check the resevoir in the engine bay (its to the right and dow a bit from the brake booster/master cylinder) it looks kinda similar to the brake master cylinder but smaller.

to bleed you will need someoe in the car to pump the pedal then hold it down, crack the bleed nipple (theres one on the master cylinder, and one on the slave cylinder, best to do master cylinder first then slave) once the air/fluid has stopped coming out (starts trickling out) Then tighten the bleed nipple and repeat.

keep your resevoir topped up throughout this.

basically like bleeding brakes lol

Just tried doing mine today, and the clutch doesn't seem to have pressure and seems like that there's air blowing out from the master cylinder? not sure. I'll explain how my friend did it.

Cracked open the nipple at slave, and just let it flow out through he pumped the clutch few times to hasten to bleeding BUT without "closing the nipple then releasing it then opening it again process." This isn't obviously the right way after i've done some research correct me if i'm wrong. Need help on correcting this, he also thinks that they may be a leak on the master cylinder? since it's blowing out air whenever the clutch is pumped. Please help on how to correct this. Thanks.

Bleed the master cylinder and the slave cylinder.

There is a nipple on the slave and a nipple on the master. If you don't do both then the clutch probably won't work.

To the OP - you might also want to give the pedal a bit more travel. this can be adjusted in the foot well above the pedal.

When you lengthen the stop position you must also lengthen the rod a similar amount.

ah ok thanks, thought only needed to bleed the slave, friend thought there might be a leak with the master cylinder, is there anyway to confirm it?

Bleed both PROPERLY then think about looking for internal or external leaks
