the car may in fact be real, but in those pics it's a photoshop. this discussion has been had before. close inspection of the picture shows lots of signs it's a photoshop. there is the massive patch of different colour that ten four pointed out, as well as the dodgy blur work along the front of the bonnet (it should be a clean line it a relatively even gap the whole way across, but it isn't). as well as the fact that that appears to be the only picture of it.

I'm sure I actually seeing it for sale on the King Buyer site at some point...I was having a discussion about it with one of my agents over there who had also heard about it...then again, maybe I'm old and senile...

Never said Supra's look ugly, I ment stock. I have seen some modified Supras that are to die for. It's a tuners car so no surprise there. Just put on a widebody kit and it will look like a supercar. See

now i'm not denying that it's a chop as i CBF looking into it that hard, BUT you do realise that most things that cost a lot of money are photoshopped before sale... things like houses in particular are shopped to death before the add goes up.

all that bonnet shows is bad photoshopping skills (it could even be ms paint ffs) but the car could still be real from that evidence alone.

what if there was something on the bonnet, like a huge scratch or sticker that they wanted to cover up?

hehe you seem to be stuck on the fence there! im not sure what your budget is, but surely the THOUSANDS of dollars you could save on doing an rb26/30, would overcome the mindf*ck that is doing a 2jz conversion?

what would spock say?

LMAO I'm over the 2JZ thing, the decision is almost unanimous and it seems to be way more trouble than it's worth. Getting an RB30 or tuning the 26 would be heaps cheaper and yield same or better results. The V8 conversion sounds nice though you would do it to a GT not a GT-R cos it'll be rear drive anyway. Would sound so weird a V8 roar out of a Skyline. You would pass by and people would still be looking for the culprit not knowing it's you hehe.

    • Mixing things up - installed some leather recaros to match the leather seat covered rear seats. Interior looks pretty schmick now except for some slight wear on the steering wheel which I will monitor and address if it becomes worse or actually noticeable!

    • I'm normally copping my own abuse from neglecting my daily drivers. "Those suspension bushes will last a bit more", "Don't worry about the oil leak, just keep topping it up". The project cars I'm always doing things slowly on them as I'm wanting them to be done better, and neater, and nicer. Luckily I don't have to deal with 18 year old Matt's "Learning to wire" stuff in the project cars. And there's only one piece of wiring I'm displeased about in the Landcruiser, and it's about to be cut out... However, the box loads of parts that have been going through this place lately for the Landcruiser... Brake pads Brake Rotors Full handbrake overhaul Wheel Bearings Seals Swivel hubs Steering Boxes Half the suspension joints Shocks Air bags (Ones to go in the rear springs for towing) Water pump Timing kit Lower timing case Harmonic Balancer Radiator Lots of other little seals and shits Gas struts for the bonnet New power window switches And god knows what else I've forgotten... Ha ha ha I have my fingers crossed the pinion seals don't start leaking on the diffs, that the transfer case doesn't leak, and the gearbox input shaft doesn't leak, nor the rear main seal. As they're about the only seals I haven't replaced in the driveline! I'm seriously eyeing off buying new caliper rebuild kits front and rear brake calipers... I'll probably recheck all the valve clearances soon too, and hopefully, it should be all good and sweet to haul some long distance trips again!
    • Every time I pull my 3x gauges out of the console and see the crack-addict way that I did the wiring, and I just can't bring myself to tear it all apart and "make it nice", because it is currently working. In fact, the last time I was in there I probably made it worse.
