Yeah, it's been a pretty brutal 12 monthes financially. Got sweet F.A. shifts as a teacher, and my weekend coffee van project cost a fortune to set up, and is paying itself off at a snails pace.

I'd like to tell you that I was funding another Datsun or something awesome, but I'll be throwing the money at debt. Yuck.

I'll keep lurking around the forum until I'm cashed up enough to buy another Skyline. Please try not to laugh and point if you see me cruising past in my other car... an '82 Sigma.

Also Skittles, if you get the chance I'll make some time for you to check out the car before the close of auction. Send me a PM, or email [email protected].

Sounds awful! Just wondering why it's not advertised on forums like ozdat or JNC (or SAU). Probably too late now, but you could consider selling parts separately. I've seen big lists of parts sell fairly quickly on ozdat.

Good luck with the sale.

In all honesty, it's a bit like ripping off a bandaid. It sucks, but at least it'll all be over quickly.

I'd probably make the most cash by sticking a stock L24 and 5 speed in it and painting it all white, (and sending it overseas,) while selling the LSD, box, L28 and carbies here, but I couldn't bring myself to pull it apart.

I'd be happy, well less sad anyway, to see it go as it is to an SAUer. Who knows, if it doesn't sell in the first go I'll probably leave it for the time being, and start playing with it again when I've got a stable income.

I'm going to let the auction run, but there is a special discount for members of this forum ;)

There's been quite a bit of interest; so I'm starting to feel sick.

Hey Drew, i honestly think most of us guys here understand how hard and painful it is

to have made this type of decision.. and im sure we share your pain.. I guess the weight of debt is a ton on your back, and letting

go of your car...hey!!.. thats hurts, you need to rid that monkey on your back mate.. im sure another

210/211 will surface again..

Cheers,

Mario

Yeah it's tough! To add salt to the wound I've been offered some really interesting swaps: 240k coupe, Valiant VG coupe, R32, Yamaha cafe racer, etc... anyway, there'll always be interesting cars around, but I hopefully won't be broke forever!

I just hope some fk doesnt chop it in half and send to sandpit land as a front cut.

Exactly what happened to the C211 I was going to buy, got sold off for $700 before I came up with the $1000.... stupid.

Appreciate it man, but I've had my eyes set on a R32 for a decade now. Driven a fair few, and I've just fallen in love ay.

Other than that, I don't deserve a car like that, I couldn't treat her the way it should. To me, that's a collectors car, not a drift pig, and I want the drift pig.

I hope the next owner can appreciate what that car is.

Hey Drew, whatever became of that C211 I never bought at Pickles auction here in WA. I'm assuming a friend of yours did. You were saying that it was going to be done up. So far I've not seen it on this site.

Another non believer!

Best you buy your beloved R32, coz they never ever going to be one of these cars.

A drift pig, ummm I thought S13's would be the go for that?

Now considering offers.

Ricky, since my mate's scrap metal business folded, that C211 has been sitting in his garage pretty much as it left WA.

My car won't be going overseas; no-one is going to shell out $5,000 for a half cut, and it won't be going over complete without any LHD dashes left on the planet to convert it. $1,500 is about the absolute maximum offer for a car that's going to get the chop, and emailing the ebay seller early with an offer below the starting bid is standard practice, which is why your C211 disappeared before you got a chance to bid. Mags, I'd be bidding/calling the next seller early to express interest; too many cars vanish from ebay 12hrs into the auction.

    • Absolute f*cking nightmare. I had to take breaks constantly, and I was always pissed off when I got home. The line split in Italy on day 2 (we drove from the Netherlands), lol. Driving any narrow European town was... well, sh*t.   Appreciate it man. Here, I'll just drop a favourite from the load I took on Saturday.   I'll update here when things happen with the car, the thing is, with stock power and almost everything chassis-wise taken care of, there really are no problems. 268,000kms now and counting.
    • Ah! I actually managed to snag a lightly used set.... that aren't so suitable for me right now. They don't work on a GTT without some cutting or creative heat moulding. I thought about reselling them myself cause I didn't want to murder them, but it looks like I'm probably going to attempt to murder them/melt them because I may as well. @GTSBoy @PranK can somebody close this thread?
    • Hey mate,  I have a set, one is slightly damaged but wont be noticable once installed.  Shoot me a message if your still after them
    • I couldn't wait But, the black constant tension hose clamps were too thick and there wasn't enough clearance at the T/B and I couldn't get it to seat properly, so I had use a silver one there I also added some 3" silicone over the alloy bit that goes through to hole on the radiator support as it looked like it was sitting on the edge of the hole in the radiator support, I never noticed a rattle or anything, but there was a witness mark It is basicly done, and I can live with the silver hose clamp at the T/B, I will get a black clamp for the head vent though where it is attached to the bulkhead fitting  It never stops...LOL, only issue now with the shock tower brace is it slightly touches the under bonnet liner now, if I leave it it will either wear some paint off the brace where it touches, or damage the liner, so I removed the liner to see what I have to work with, with the liner removed I have about 20mm of clearance, but sadly the middle part of the underside of the bonnet is only dusted with paint and looks crap, so I cannot have that, but.... as I have a roll of Carbuilders premium under bonnet insulation in the garage laying around that is only 5.5mm thick (we were going to use it on the boys Patrol, but he crashed the front of it a few months and it was written off, hence why he now drives my old Honda Accord Euro), I'll use the OEM liner as a template and get the Carbuilders stuff fitted up to cover that dusted paint up
