Well, after much deliberation and angst, I've decided it's time to sell "my baby".

FOR SALE – R34 GTR V-SPEC

I’ve looked everywhere earlier but I seem to have misplaced my comprehensive I had for the GTR, but here goes off the top of my head 

• The car is what I would describe as the perfect level for a street GTR. It is not so modified to sacrifice driveability, even as an “every day” driver. I’ve owned a few GTR’s and know my way around them, and am part of the “High Octane R34 GTR” team of Mark Berry and Russell Newman, and they’re in agreement that this is easily one of the “tidiest” GTRs we’ve seen. In fact, when the guys ran their eyes over it, they were astounded with how “nice” it is. The body and interior, in fact the entire car, are in really amazing condition.

• The car was originally imported in (from memory) 2007 under the latest RAWS scheme, RAWS meaning every vehicle is of a high quality and inspected with no structural damage. Even the sills at the jacking points are super straight and super clean, usually the first place any Skyline will show any carelessness. It is a 1999 model, and I’ve had the VIN through Nissan “FAST” software to confirm it is a V-Spec, and it is equipped with the additional functions in the centre dash display that the V-Spec has.

• I’ve known of the car since it arrived here in Australia, a fellow I’d met years before (who I’d sold a really lovely 32GTR to in fact circa 2002!) actually had it imported for him to order (he specifically wanted a black V-Spec). He was a miner in Mt Isa, where he kept the car until selling it to me here in Brisbane when he drove it down on route to going on an extended overseas holiday. He is a little older than me (45+ I’d say), so a little more mature, and not prone to juvenile treatment of a car. I’m 36 and have been “looking after” my cars for many years now, and I have a race car for venting the male urges 

• Since I purchased the vehicle around a year ago, I have driven approximately 3,000klm. The speedo has just ticked over 51,000klm. The car has never been “tracked”. It is always garaged at my home.

• I have fully serviced the vehicle twice since I’ve had it, and also rebuilt the gearbox as it had a slight whine in the first three gears, we suspect the wrong grade of oil was used at some stage. We installed a new main shaft, 3rd gear, and synchros, good as new now! All the best oils are used.

• I have not had the car on a dyno, with the way the car drives and runs I’ve never had the need to. I haven’t torn the car apart to confirm some of the modifications/parts that I was told were fitted (by the prior Australian owner), because I have no need to doubt the prior owner or spec, nor, considering the performance of the car, would I question the modifications or performance. Somewhere around 250 to 285 AWKW would be fair.

• The car has recently undergone a full three day “paint correction”. I’m anal about this car, and it’s glamorous! Lol

• I have original bumpers and side skirts available by negotiation if that floats your boat.

A parts list (please keep in mind, this is from what I’ve been informed, again, I’ve not dismantled the car to confirm things such as the turbos. The easily seen items I can obviously confirm);

• N1 turbos

• Nistune mapping

• Blitz electronic boost control

• HKS intercooler kit

• HKS oil cooler kit with remote filter

• HKS stainless steel front pipes (works of art)

• HKS 4” stainless steel catalytic convertor (check the price of that!)

• Kakimoto stainless exhaust system cat back

• Trust Airinx air filters (though I have since re-fitted the factory air box with K&N filter to make the intake quieter, I’m getting old )

• Nismo carbon twin plate clutch – superb feel and not “rattly”

• Nismo dash cluster (320klm/h) (fitted in Japan, likely from new as it is the orange type, not the fancy boy white faced version)

• Nismo driver knee braces, also likely fitted new

• Nismo genuine smoked front and side indicators

• Nismo in-tank fuel pump

• Genuine C-West body kit (front bar and under-tray, side skirts, rear bar) - Big bucks, and fits beautifully, looks factory quality and is attached using all original type fasteners in factory locations – no drilling.

• Border brand (Japan) carbon fibre bonnet with venting

• Xenon adjustable height beam headlights

• Kings springs, factory shocks

• Factory fitted mats

• And to top it off, the best set of wheels ever for a GTR, special order only Rays Nismo LMGT4, 19” x 10.5” fitted with 285/30/19 tyres. These cost is excess of $6000 landed without tyres when purchased new, to order from Japan, in June 2009.

• The car has all its original keys too. Meaning two normal Nissan spares, and the factory remote/immobiliser key.

That is all I can think of right now. This car will not disappoint, things like the sills where there is usually damage are arrow straight, that kind of thing. Superb car, and it never ceases to get compliments.

$52,000.

Email me at [email protected] if interested and we can go from there.

** I've obtain more detailed photographs of interior etc for anyone interested over the weekend when I get it out for display at a Japanese car show.

Thanks Gents, especially you Dave.... well, I think it's you.... DAVE! :P

For those awaiting interior and engine bay pics, please bear with me, work commitments have me snowed under, and the weather is too appalling to take it outside for pics!

Hopefully there'll be a break in it tomorrow and I can snap some up for you! :)

One word though..... Mint!

Ok and good morning!

Again, sorry for the delays, rain and work are always an annoyance!

Here are some pics I took this morning, thank Apple for the quality! I'm certain that anyone knowing what they are looking at can tell this GTR is an absolute gem.

Bumping up.

After three weeks plus of emailing and texting (why don't people just use the phone these days?), an interstate buyer has failed to complete the deal, so we're back on the market again! :)

PM me for my mobile number if interested ;)

Ha Ha Ben, I could have told you it will do your head in, that's why I took my car off the market... got sick of dip shits texting me or e mails... The real buyer will call you and even then they will f**k you around.

Good luck with selling it the car looks good..

Dave

    • Put a fuel pressure gauge on it. Replace the turbos. Probably completely separate issues.
    • What copper washer do you guys use on the bleeder bolts? The existing one I have I had no idea where to find it in a local store, I did buy some online but that are only 1mm thick whereas my old one is 2mm+ thick and when I put the new washer out and squeeze the top radiator hose I can hear a bit of air but not with the old one. Does this matter? The new one doesn't leak, but the inner diameter is a bit loose whereas the old one threads on the bolt.
    • Howdy all, after being out a few weeks ago on a spirited drive in my GTR I have 2 issues that oddly have appeared at the same time. Whilst accelerating quickly through the gears all of a sudden i’ve lost power at the top of third gear (below redline around 6000rpm) for no obvious reason.    From that point onwards the car has been running rich on idle, won’t really rev under load without a ton of black smoke and the odd backfire, and dying as a pull up to a set of lights unless I keep the revs up around 1500rpm. In addition when shutting down the car that same night (I was 10 minutes from home) I noticed one of the turbos was significantly noisy on wind down when shutting off the engine. After letting the car cool down overnight it starts up fine, although once it gets to temp the revs start to creep up and down, the exhaust is darker than it should be and it also sounds like it’s running rich (fat note) I’ve put a new set of plugs in it - no change, the old plugs all seemed OK with two of them being somewhat richer/fueled up than the other 3 with 1 being borderline. I’ve smoked tested the intake system via the front of the Turbos, found a split vacuum hose going to the factory boost gauge sender, which I have since replaced.  Also found another leak on the gasket coming off the rear turbo outlet, have also replaced this. After fixing both of these leaks - still have the running rich issue. I’ve also tried another pair of AFM’s - no change here After pulling off the front turbo intake pipes, there is obvious shaft play in the front turbo, which now hisses loudly on light revvs although I can’t see why this would make the car run funny even under idle. I’m curious to know why it’s running rich before I potentially replace/rebuild turbos. The car is completely stock <50,000kms  other than an exhaust. Oil and coolant are all clear. I haven’t bothered with coil packs as it looks like they won’t be the issue due to condition of the plugs. Any help appreciated as I cry myself to sleep!
    • No probs at all. I used to love trying to dig up obscure info for those in need where possible going back 20+ years on SAU.  I did have another look and couldn't come up with any closer match. I'm leaning towards those skirts in your first pic are custom fitments, cut down/extended or from another car entirely and modded to fit an R34 sedan. I would've thought someone in Japan had them and taken a photo at some stage over the last 2 decades but there's nothing. Someone out there must know surely.
