scratches on tinted windows

I was going to post to maintenance but im aware that there is one other user who got their windows tinted at this certain place too. anyways, recently i got my windows tinted but lately i have noticed that there are quite badly noticeable stratch marks on the driver and passenger windows. Whats strange though is that there scratches are on the inside of the windows. Now i talked to the place that did the window tinting and apparently it is not covered under the gurantee - so much for lifetime warranty, anyways he said that it was due to the rollers within the windows being too tight. Has anyone had this problem with there windows or were able to fix/prevent it, btw there were no scratches what so ever before the tint went on. sorry for the long post but im not happy.

no window tint place will cover you for scratches that I know of - usually the guarantee is for cracks, bubbles, peeling and fading. The tint is softer than the glass, so will scratch alot easier.

My windows are tinted and dont have any scratches from being raised and lowered, so perhaps you do have a problem - hard way to learn, shame they didnt check it out before they fit the tint:(

I do have one scratch though, but that was operator error:)

I have similar problem on drivers side door, very faint up and down marks. Not worried to much about it though, if i ever get the chance to put new speakers in the door i might address the problem.

Yeah it all happens to tinted windows that are too tight. My passenger is like that... Its not the tinters fault unfortunately...
