zymotic
Just wondering what the top of the line VS HSV would have at the flywheel. I've found em with 215kw??? Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/35723-vs-hsv/ Share on other sites
craz0
Thats about it as far as I know the only other one would be the GTS-R, the yellow one with the GT wing there was option with it to get a blueprinted engine and that added a extra 10-15kw on top of the 215kw. Elithrar
He's just exaggerating. They're about 1650kg. Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/35723-vs-hsv/#findComment-713314 Share on other sites
Morgs
They're actually lighter than that, too 15xxkg would be about right My VS V6 daily driver is only 1420kg with fuel Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/35723-vs-hsv/#findComment-713326 Share on other sites
predator
The HSV versions fair bit heavier due to the V8 engine.. and each new version gets heavier. I think the latest VY, etc are around 1700kg for the 300kw HSV GTS. reading through this document about what defines a "classic HSV" .. bit of a laugh: THIS IS WHAT IS NOT OK. The following modifications have been deemed as unacceptable by HSV. This protects your investment in an HSV Classic. * A different size of tyre than original. * Non-original wheels, including the ÒspareÓ. * Engine modifications - including a wide variety of peculiar enhancement "chips ", throttle bodies, camshafts, extractors and the like. e.g. anything that makes it perform better than the often rather toned down factory tune Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/35723-vs-hsv/#findComment-713359 Share on other sites

hawks
most VS v8's were 179kw, the hsv's were 185kw or a 5.7l 215kw stroker (standard on the GTS and GTS-R and a option on the senator) with 4 speed auto's or 6 speed manuals. the VS GTS was a pretty nice thing and still demand good money for a 8 y.o car.
