what mods are you running to make 210Kw?

Full 3" exhaust

Pod Intake (hks mushroom)

Power FC tuned by RPM Morayfield

Yellow Jacket Coil Packs

Return flow IC (just been swapped out as it was giving me severe pressure drop above 5k 4.5psi) Now a HDI GT Spec Cooler

If I have done anything else I have forgotten what it is.

It was running 204.4 KW after the tune with a leaking turbo gasket after fixing that it was rocking 210kw (turbo only had 2 nuts on it when I brought it so I discovered)

I am hoping that with the new cooler not dropping pressure she will produce 220 - 230kw as the sheet was looking like it would do that if it didn't have that pressure drop.

next mods will be injectors, pump and turbo I guess maybe even a z32 afm depending on if I get power hungry again.

Yeah Clint should be alot better once she's has the mid and top end of the tune finished. Ya bastard ya got in front of me LOL.

Yeah I was gonna come down Friday arvo but I was rooted after fitting the cooler so I rang Pete, I'll let Pete work his magic and see what she makes and If she will need a new clutch to go with the power.

How was Harry's the other night?

Wasn't to bad. quite a few cars. They filled the other side of the road car parks. Cleared out pretty quickly though.

so what is everyone up to today?

was going to be a car clean and sort out day. but its too windy outside to clean it. and i got a sic girly to look after . so mines a quiet day....might reassemble the back of my car this arvo.

got my coilover adjuster extender thingy's sorted and the inside of my car back together and clean....about bloody time.

I ended up using a 1/4inch universal joint and medium lenght 1/4 socket extention on either side with a little black cap on the top. the original idea was to make them out of anything other than Metal as metal can be heavy and rattle, hence why i had some timber and rubber ones made up (which didnt work), so metal it is. hopefully they dont rattle to much.

Hmm, im thinking morayfield this week. And if anyone is keen id like to get something happening during the day, even sat/sun arvo. Game of footy or cricket, something different.

As for this week, yea im not sure.. We could go to our usual spot but turn ups have been bad the last few weeks, people loosing interest or w.e

However, id like to get pictures of each car as i am extending my knowledge base on web design. (i would be making a website to do with our pride and joys)

You will b abke to upload, comment etc at other peoples profile!

yeah guys im in for a local feed this wednesday. happy laps is this weekend....but i wont be going to that either. car needs new brake pads and im far too lazy/busy to get it done by then.

    • Yeah, it's getting like that, my daughter is coming over on Thursday to help me remove the bonnet so I can install the Carbuilders underbonnet stuff,  I might get her to give me a hand and remove the hardtop, maybe, because on really hot days the detachable hardtop helps the aircon keep the interior cool, the heat just punches straight through to rag top I also don't have enough hair for the "wind in the hair" experience, so there is that....LOL
    • Could be falling edge/rising edge is set wrong. Are you getting sync errors?
    • On BMWs what I do because I'm more confident that I can't instantly crush the pinch welds and do thousands of USD in chassis damage is use a set of rubber jacking pads designed to protect the chassis/plastic adapter and raise a corner of the car, place the aforementioned 2x12 inch wooden planks under a tire, drop the car, then this normally gives me enough clearance to get to the front central jack point. If you don't need it to be a ramp it only needs to be 1-1.5 feet long. On my R33 I do not trust the pinch welds to tolerate any of this so I drive up on the ramps. Before then when I had to get a new floor jack that no longer cleared the front lip I removed it to get enough clearance to put the jack under it. Once you're on the ramps once you simply never let the car down to the ground. It lives on the ramps or on jack stands.
    • Nah. You need 2x taps for anything that you cannot pass the tap all the way through. And even then, there's a point in response to the above which I will come back to. The 2x taps are 1x tapered for starting, and 1x plug tap for working to the bottom of blind holes. That block's port is effectively a blind hole from the perspective of the tap. The tapered tap/tapered thread response. You don't ever leave a female hole tapered. They are supposed to be parallel, hence the wide section of a tapered tap being parallel, the existince of plug taps, etc. The male is tapered so that it will eventually get too fat for the female thread, and yes, there is some risk if the tapped length of the female hole doesn't offer enough threads, that it will not lock up very nicely. But you can always buzz off the extra length on the male thread, and the tape is very good at adding bulk to the joint.
    • Nice....looking forward to that update
