Rims are sold, thanks guys.

Hi Guys,

as per title, I have a set of VOLK TE37 in Bronze for sale.

18 x 9.5" +12 and 5 x 114.3 PCD

Fitted with near new 265/35/18 Kumho KU36 - minimum 95% tread, realistically they've done about 500km on the street and about 10km of Haunted Hills hill climb

Rims are in excellent condition. They are second hand, there will be some marks and imperfections. The lips were professionally rebronzed at Wheel Solutions in Richmond as there was some minor rash that I was unhappy with.

Reason for sale, bi monthly wheel change time!

$3700 ono

I can be contacted via [email protected] - 0390080031 or private message.

Cheers

Aaron :)

oh - have been asked if I get scrubbing on the guards. No - I have slightly lipped guards and with the lowering, a little neg camber. Same fitment on a 32 with stock suspension travel and non rolled guards WILL rub. If you went to a 255 wide tyre, you wouldn't need to roll the guards.

Hi Mate

will take $3k without the rubber - I get no rubbing whatsoever with the way my car is setup (refer to comments in my original post :)

Cheers

Aaron

    • Like others have said, drop the power to give your drivetrain a % of reliability until you can up the drivetrain reliability  It isn't rocket science, build power to the weakest link with a % of safety Whilst upping the the reliability of the drive train is costly, there's no point in having the engine make big power if it keeps eating the drivetrain....ask me how I know, I had the tow truck on speed dial for a few years, and I spent huge amounts of money fixing issues and breakages that really would have been cheaper in the long run if I did it right the first time Me, I like a nice sized fudge factor, that keeps me off the tow truck
    • I don't understand what the issue is with, turn the boost down and start saving $$.  As soon as you can afford the supporting mods, turn the boost back up.  If the car is running fine, enjoy it. Turning the boost down isn't going to kill you.

    • I know people cry at the price of the Getrag 12-14k for a conversion now, but it really is a nice mid point. Not going to get change from 10k on a gearset installed.  $30k++ for sequential.   I know you run the risk of a damaged used one and parts are hard to get but as a street car gearbox its really hard to beat. If you enjoy a more traditional manual, its the choice no question.
