Wish I could come!

Is there anything like this happening closer to the Gold Coast?

It's an awesome day. I made the trip down from Toowoomba (tad over 2 hour trip if sticking to the speed limit) for the brekky lakeside happy laps a few months ago, and will be making the trip down again for this 1

This event is now full peeps. if you missed out there will be a next one soon.

Pricing has been grey but is now set in stone,

Members 25 dollars, Non members 30 dollars. Bring cash and pay on the day. No pay no track.

We need to know if you are bringing passengers for catering purposes so give us the word.

im not sure i understand what happy laps means. so u just casually drive around the track at a pace that doesnt require a helmet??? is there something im missing??

Pretty much, they allow you to go a decent pace...just not race pace

how fast is a decent pace? like 100+?? r u allow to light the tyres or do a bit of sliding in the corners?? can u drag each other on the straight??

The track marshals give a quick cover with the rules before we go on track, we were told to keep it limited to 110kph and up to 140kph on the straight

Sliding and other things like overtaking on corners, being 1ft off the back of other cars etc is not acceptable during happy laps, save that for sprints :P

So far the marshals have been more than happy with our behavior on track, and eveybody has an awesome time.

Its pretty simple - Be courteous of others and dont drive dangerously

    • It's funny, as Ive seen plenty of people use them in cheap builds on YT. And they actually go okay, even though a lot of other maxspeedingrods stuff is terrible. Those turbos seem reliable enough, the only part being, a good quality turbo that is "identical" to it, will out perform it day in and day out. In both a lower boost threshold, and the ability to flow more air at the same boost pressure. As a cheap cheap replacement, not a terrible choice. For cheap and shouldn't blow in a day, not terrible (like other eBay/Temu turbos) for low cost and still decent performance, that's where the question comes in to play from the results I've seen. I'd actually find it hilarious to buy one, and strap it to a paddock basher or some other cheap as POS originally NA car, and send it to the moon!
    • The maxpeedingrods turbo is cheap and bolts on to stock parts. I think you just need a bigger silicone coupler for the intake. Its a cheap china turbo, but it's been running on mine for almost 3 years at 16-19 psi.
    • What do they look like right after you've tried to start it with everything connected? Also post photos of what they actually look like.
