Dry manifold? Bottle heater? Electronic purge timing? Stand alone control panel or intigrated One's and Zero's...

GAH!!! What? Who? When?

No bottle heater, manual purge by holding half throttle with the door open and tapping the switch....erm..... you're confusing

Adrian

lol.

I am running again next Wednesday @ WSID with the right plugs, better fuel (still PULP) and WITHOUT the two enourmous boxes of Krispy Kreme donuts, 4 litres of water and my video camera on the back seat.

Adrian

hey adrian, well done mate, good to see you car is getting quicker. now i am really looking forward to racing against you

btw. peak performance (nowra) are having a dyno night (thursday) in the next two weeks, i think its about 30 or 40 bucks to put your car on, i'll let you know when i find out the date.

cheers, mark

R31Nismoid,

Same tyres as last time. 99% shagged (now well and truly) Pirelli 235/45/17's but i let them down to 11psi and fried them hard. The 2.001 60' time tells the story.

Mark, PM me details when you get em please.

Adrian

hey adrian got my new clutch, and it grips like a mother ***cer, ill be there on wednesday after i get some more fuel, wasted it all drivingto the wrkshop, hope to get another run next to you, and some more pics. i also think i should drop the pressure in my tires to about 11psi, 25 is way to much what i used last time.

i heard alot of good things about ur car... congrats.... do u tune ur car for c16...if so what sort of gains are there to be made... ive always thought that c16 was bad for the cars due to its lead content... correct me if im mistaken, cause i was thinkin about using it at one stage but certain tuners would not tune my car with it..... cheers...make sure u kill it this wednesday night!!!

C16 kills ur 02 sensor and the tips of spark plugs

errr... not if you use the right O2 sensor and plugs.... thought that was pretty straight forward. also not great for catalytic converters.

c16 is very bad, only driven 200ks on it and my brand new ngkr spark plugs are gone, need to change them, i hope with the new plugs and clutch might beat my shocking time, will see tomorrow.

And adrian is trying to say they dont effect spark plugs or 02 sensor?? Even the 107 octane suncorp fuel fouls your plugs quick

Did u get high off the fumes when u were pouring it into your tank??

Enricco, a guy with a hell of a lot more drag racing experience than me looked at them and told me 10psi. It worked and there was almost NO wheelspin when i slipped the clutch at this pressure.

Hoetrain, thanks dude.

Can you read? Re-read what i typed. Fark.

    • Is the panel filter one that is oiled? Have you ever cleaned or touched the AFM?
    • So.... the K&N air box thingo was too big, ended up gifting it to a mate, well, by gifting it he actually supplied food and beer at the pub,  which was nice, as it will not sit on a shelf in the garage for the next 10 years I did trim up some of the existing stuff to neaten it all up and gave it some wrinkle paint, unfortunately it currently has a used and abused mish mash of different types of hose clamps, 4 big fat T bolt type (shit), and a few normal clamps of vairing sizes and brands, but..... only until the 6 constant tension black worm clamps that I ordered from EFI solutions turn up next week Currently the current hose clamps are triggering me hard, LOL Is this the final version, probably not, I really want just 2 silicone pieces, a straight bit of silicone from the filter to the MAF is easy and will happen as soon as I head into Just Jap tomorrow, the problematic part is a 30° silicone bend from the MAF to the TB that I can connect the engine breather from the head, I found that there are bulk head fittings for boat bilge pumps that should work, but until I can get a 30° silicone bend the alloy pipe, and the 11ty thousand hose clamps, are there for the foreseeable future 4 hose clamps are golden, 6 are grudgingly acceptable, the 8 currently holding it all together is just taking the piss    I've also ordered 60 more retaining wall blocks for the front yard, I mis-gonculated the height that was required to get above the base of the Photinia's (red robin's) that are the hedge behind the front fence, currently it is 2 blocks high, and about 1/2 a block short, so going 3 blocks high will be above the base of the red robin's, and allow some room for mulch
    • It is the stock air box with the panel filter. Everything else is stock except the exhaust at this point, as I also went back to the cleaned 270cc injectors. I will check the RPM when the IACV is unplugged and report back.
    • As MBS suggested if this is happening when the engine is cold you're going to want to remove the intake air regulator and verify resistance + that the shutter is physically opening and closing. At -20C should be fully open, 20C half open, over 60C fully closed. At 20C should be 70-80 ohms. For AAC valve testing using a Consult cable see if you can raise and lower the idle by commanding more or less AAC duty cycle. Hopefully it's pretty linear as well, shouldn't be like 30% AAC valve is barely idling and 40% is 1500 rpm.
