And BU5TER, the more things change, the more they stay the same. There are a heap of people still 'talkin' it up' that are yet to see a racetrack.

I have infinitely more respect for wreckedhead who talks it up and actually RACES than someone who gives him or anyone else sh1t and sits at home being a f^&*#ng keyboard warrior.

Jeeze Ad, chill out dude! You're startin' to get some serious attitude comin' across in these posts.

Bottom line... who cares what people say (or in this case type) walk the walk and there's no need to talk. You, wreckhead, buster and co are doin' the walkin'.

Cheers,

Matt

thanks buster and 2rismo, hope to see you both at the track, so we can talk about these keyboard warriors which were mentioned earlier. anyways as for

Did u get high off the fumes when u were pouring it into your tank??

god damn pouring is easy, but driving in the car on the freeway with the window open and cant close it casue aircon wastes all the C16, after i get out of the car i feel like ive been druged for the whole week. but its all good.

whatsisname, it's all good mate. I am just constantly tormented by people either:

a/ Talking sh1t and not backing it up

OR

b/ Posting on here without engaging their brains

That's all... :P

yeah i was there, my best was 11.5 @ 120mph, got the new clutch but couldnt get the take off right, doesnt matteri was running most on bp premium so im happy with that for now, when i get used to the launches ill try again.

Best of the night was 12.679 @ 114.71 mph.

The rest of the night was launch practice. Mental note, "Riding the clutch from 6500rpm is great for 1.9 60' times but 3rd gear doesn't work". hehehe...

Basically it's still a learning curve and I learned that 5500 launches ROCK! Was down on power the whole night. Will remove melty plugs and change for 8's before next week.

hey adrian did you watch my last run, from inside the car i felt like i was all over the road, backed off first gear casue i thoguht i was gonna go into the wall. sory had to leave right after that didnt have time to chat.

would be good if you got a in the car run.

I am considering this for next time. Need one of those camera mounts from the Group Buy section I think. Either that or gaffer tape my dvcam to the passenger headrest... lol

If anyone was paying close enough attention on Wednesday, did my car seem to lose traction at about half-3/4 track? Not necessarily wheelspin, more side to side in the tail end of the car. It felt very floaty at the top of 3rd that's for sure. Scary shit.

I was telling my wife to do the same thing with our camera.. I may make up a standard Skyline camera mount... :)

Nice run 2rismo,

i was driving the blue mx5 in one of your races, i pulled a 12.9 @ 106mph that run with pretty crappy tyres hence the shitty launcehs i was doing to prevent too much wheelspin.. Will be out again soon with my new 3" dump pipe/ebc and some stickier drag radiald, hoping to get mid to low 12's..

Anyway it was cool lining up with an r33 as i used to own one...

Take it easy and might run into ya again sometime..

Cheers,

Shmick_R33, The MX-5 looked like the driver was having fun :) Say hello next time!

Brent_r33, nice work with the 13.5. You should come say hi too! :O

DJ_L3ThAL, If you liked that pic, what about this one?!?!?

    • This. The R34 handbrake icon DOES come up when the brake fluid level is low. You might be sitting right on that threshhold. I have been down this diagnosis path and this was the solution (and it was pretty much as full as your picture is to begin with).
    • Unfortunately the cavaet to that is that while any scan tool should be able to read the code, the workshop will need a consult plug to OBD socket adapter. You don't have a location on your profile, where are you based?
    • @Haggerty this is your red flag. In MAP based ECU's the Manifold pressure X RPM calculation is how the engine knows it is actually...running/going through ANY load. You are confusing the term 'base map' with your base VE/Fuel table. When most people say 'base map' they mean the stock entire tune shipped with the ECU, hopefully aimed at a specific car/setup to use as a base for beginning to tune your specific car. Haltech has a lot of documentation (or at least they used to, I expect it to be better now). Read it voraciously.
    • I saw you mention this earlier and it raised a red flag, but I couldn't believe it was real. Yes, the vacuum signal should vary. It is the one and only load signal from the engine to the ECU, and it MUST vary. It is either not connected or is badly f**ked up in some way.
    • @Haggerty you still haven't answered my question.  Many things you are saying do not make sense for someone who can tune, yet I would not expect someone who cannot tune to be playing with the things in the ECU that you are.  This process would be a lot quicker to figure out if we can remove user error from the equation.
