I was just looking through the SAU Events and i saw another happy laps was on at QR on the 23 I know this is only 3 days after the cruise but is anyone keen?

Wasn't it on the 23rd of this month?

Ive seen a few R33's getting around that arnt on here, well not that i know of anyway. Ive seen both parked near west street (one on it and one the next street over) both have series 2 wings. Ones white and one is blue. :)

There are a buttload of 33's around town. We will have to think about a meet up point to convoy it down to Aspley. Maybe macca's near my place for brekky then hit it?

Yes defiantly need to work out a meet up point. Which macca's near your's were you thinking Clint? Meet up time will be 6:30 for a 7 departure. Usually take me around 2 hours to get from here to Aspley ( my aunty lives near there). I know a good route to get there but could be a hassle (depending on numbers) getting across Brisbane to Aspley. Or we could see if the Ipswich guys are keen to meet up somewhere and convoy to Aspley with them

yer could be difficult with traffic lights etc, keen if we can get it organaised though for sure

I'll post it up it in our group... If time is an issue probs easier to give ippy a miss

yer i was thinking that, its probley better to know where gona be able to get there on time. And there should be enough going down to be our own mini cruise anyway lol

haha yer, i couldnt resist :P, I'd love to go for a run at some point in one of the GTR's ive never even been in one before id like to do a comparison.

I went for a run in my mates Vortech Supercharged GT-P this afternoon Ferk me what a beast, Ran 12.4 at willowbank on street tires and low boost (between 6 & 7 pound). Its not the fastest car ive been in but its deffinetly the fastest daily drive street car ive been in, i couldnt get over how quite and calm it was untill you opened it up, amazing lol.

    • Totally equivalent. Stock often goes from the comp cover because that's where the actuator is also installed and the factory needs 2" of hose to make the connection - and it comes as a pre-assembled unit. They totally have a boost reference from somewhere between the turbo and the throttle(s). Oh, jeez. Just do it in M12 then. We don't actually care that much. I would expect any such AN converter fitting to rely on an o-ring or some other seal onto a flat surface under the flange of the hex**, because bolt threads are no intended to provide a pressure seal. unlike..... pipe threads. **which also requires a suitably flat and smooth surface on the turbo's boss to provide the seal.
    • I also used NP   That’s were it’s seems to be the best place to fit it? All schematic shows also that it’s should be referenced from the turbo housing. But idk, I do see high hp cars without any connection or anything to their turbos, so I really don’t know how they connect their things
    • I do have loctite 243 and 246 and a few more models. I could drill it now in place and make new threads for m12 and order an4 - m12 coupling and fit that to the turbo. Run a braided hose to the EBC which I could get a an4 to 1/8npt
    • So M12 and sealant should be fine?    NPT ” because that’s what I had and what I could get atm.
    • Wouldn’t touch par if they gave it to me. You need to ask how much power you’re looking to make and then add about 50% to it because that’s what you’ll end up making  The factory box says no more at about 350kw or so, the upgraded synchro boxes won’t handle much over 500kw for long and at that point you’re looking at an auto or dog engagement manual,  once you’ve gone dog engagement you may as well go sequential, they cost a little bit more but it’s worth it  also while you’re at it you should upgrade the transfer case with 10 friction plates
