Hey guys, I've been trying to research this for days, but I have not been able to get the answers I need. I have searched 100's of Google Pics, looked for write ups from various people but I think I can only get the right answers from the people who actually OWN the cars.. The engine is supposedly from an R34, and judging from the ECU connector (since the company hasn't sent me the correct ECU, if you know the number I need, that would be double awesome) it is really from an R34, there are 4 rows, as opposed to 2 on a normal S1/S2 RB25. I can't find any evidence that it's a NEO motor, since it didn't come with the valve cover, and the injectors are side fee. So if you've got that information as well, I'd appreciate it. (I don't mind forking out some paypal fees for whoever helps me out) So here's where I'm at. I took some pictures to show my dilemma.

Here's a picture of my motor how I received it:

I need to know what the connectors in RED go to (yes, I know one is a light, what light?)

Here's a close up of that bundle of wires, I know that they go right around the MAF:

I also need to know about the other half of the wires, the connectors on the right are under the dash, and the connectors at the top are in the engine bay, and most of the wires are contained in that bundle:

here's a close up of those connectors:

I researched Yahoo Auctions Japan and found those two grey connectors go into this box, but one auction says they are an Auto Mission Computer and one says that it's an ABS Computer, it's under the dash:

I'm sorry to hear about your plight Donnie, but you are posting in the wrong section, although some CLASSIC owners have these later models as well.

CLASSIC SKYLINES is for up to and including R31 models, that's 1988/89 sort of era & your R34 is certainly past this.

If you post in the right section you will most certainly get lots of answers.

Below is a list of popular searches, do you think you could see something of interest in there.

Maybe try in other Skyline Imports, or engine specific as above, even the Stagea guys might be able to assist.

Very Nice and Helpful Reply Dennis!

That is a Series 2 R33 motor

Not a NEO RB25, so unfortunatley you have been stung there :(

In the top picture, The far left circled plugs look like they are for the coolant temp sensors, a cant see what the other ones are if you get some close up pics I can go check my series 1 loom in the garage

But I dont have a skyline anymore so cant be all that much help

The easiest option would be to drop the motor in. the Ceff Engine bay is similar to the skyline one, once you have done that run the part of the loom with the MAF plug up the left side (drivers side in your case) then you can start to see where everything goes, and most plugs are all individual, so you cant plug the wrong thing in

    • A few small updates since the previous post and lessons. I decided to do a little interior light upgrade on the 110. I quite like the iilumo items, even if they're a bit of a premium over other brands. You'll also note the Stedi Fogs, that will go into the S15 fog lights as I needed to match the bulbs since I got the new ones earlier. I hope they fit as the body is quite a bit longer than your normal bulb.  Annoyingly, I managed to trip the fuse, which normally wouldn't be an issue until I located the fuse. I can't say I've ever come across this. I had lucked out that someone nearby had a spare, but oddly enough Toyota dealerships seem to keep this in stock. I ordered some to keep in my stash and as luck would have it, someone else nearby tripped the same fuse so I passed on the favour.  I also did a little service on the 110 ahead of some additional work coming up. It's been annoying that Goleby's stopped carrying this particular HKS filter for the 110, so now I need to keep them on order from Japan. I also took the opportunity to install a bash plate and number plate riser. The plate riser is such a cheap but nice fix to help really tidy up the car. I'm tempted to now also replace my headlights, on this car. Both items were from Project Aero.    I also needed to replace the rear tyres on the 110, and after trying to get it aligned learnt that I need to replace some bushes in the front end, so that's next.  Closing out this update with a nicer picture as always!
    • Yeah mate, never miss it.
    • Any going to watch World Time Attack at SMSP this year?
    • Appreciate the correction on the "ground", that will make a huge difference to looking at this. That makes complete sense about AF70/AF71 which is what I had come down to being the issue, one of these. I'll have another look in the ignition wiring when I get a chance next week. I'll also make up a jumper wire for running that AF73 test.  ECU is fine, relay itself is fine, pump harness is fine and the pump itself is fine. I am going to upgrade the Walbro 255 anyway with a DW300 I have since I need to replace the fuel sender and I'm going to upgrade the FPR with my chasebays kit ready for new plenum/injectors/dbw, but I'll get this working first. That's why this is so frustrating.
