R33 Cat Conv. Sensor

Midway through doing an engine swap on my project, just wondering if there is a sensor for the cat?

The cat that came with the exhaust system has a nut to fit a sensor or gauge too, just wondering if its necessary? O2?

There is a wire hanging down from the gearbox tunnel, nothing on it though?

any help is much appreciated.

don't think so stock, sounds like something done for an aftermarket gauge or whatever

the stock cats have a temp sensor in them. it does nothing more than activate a light in the dash if the temp gets too high (meaning the cat has collapsed). more often than not they malfunction so on a bumpy road the light will come on and off and the best thing to do is unplug them. i have a feeling the wire comes out under the passenger seat area, not the trans tunnel though.

found out its a heat sensor, not needed, might just plug up the whole with a bolt

just looked under my car cause im looking at completing exhaust,

and i found this wire hanging around the cat....

is this the temp sensor you guys have been talking about?

the cable under the exhaust is the cat temp sensor. the lose wire above the cat is simply an earth strap

Can anyone tell me the thread size of this sensor so I can plug the hole?
